I had reduced how often I needed it on but we've had below 0 temp for last couple of days so its back on alow all day again. I still set the wall thermostat to 15/16 so it comes on if it drops below that. Lets hope the weather starts to warm up again.4

Luckily or not we are in the warmer south east and the the house is still keeping a 20oC in the mornings without and heat required.
Looking at the long range forecasts we could make it through til middle of October before deciding on heating the odd room or cranking the heat pump on and leaving it on.3 -
I've put mine on, only half an hour last night then again this morning, but I am full of cold and am shivering. We are around 14 here so not that warm2

Luckily we live in a new build house so it retains its heat really well. No heating for us yet in the midlands. In fact we are still opening the windows in the evenings to let some heat out that has built up during the day.2

Yes mine has been on for a few hours on different days over the last couple of weeks

Not yet although very close to it. Temps in the NE are in the mid teens outside, and inside the house temps have been climbing to 18 or 19 C by early morning. We are wearing more layers although thermals yet to be worn. The prospect of some fairly decent temperatures should mean that October will be a transition month with maybe a little heating on in the morning and again in the afternoon dependent on the temperatures inside the house. Will be aiming for a minimum of 17.5C on the thermostat possibly 18C.2

Here in Lincolnshire, I've been lighting the woodstove in the evening for the last week or so with just a few logs and letting it burn out. Creates a nice cozy atmosphere in the lounge and takes the evening chill off the rest of the house. Now I've started, my cat has threatened to leave home if I even think about not lighting it and I've noticed she's been researching animal rights online and looking for a lawyer. So that's it now - fire every night until the spring, but I don't expect the background heating will be needed for a couple of months yet.7
