It is 13.5 in my living room this morning. I am going to have a shower and hair wash today so the heating will definitely be on for when I step out of the shower. Cannot stand the feeling of wet hair when it's cold! At least it is sunny outside, though.3

Speaking for myself my frequency and standard of personal hygiene is not defined by my money saving. I couldn’t shower/bathe daily for I’ve very sensitive skin.My washer goes on as hot as I need it to be to get my laundry clean. Some things need it hotter than others. Also not defined by money saving. What’s normal for you is not necessarily normal for the next person.Oh and I sleep very soundly - I’m a cheerful soul with a clear conscience you see 😊I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.4

Heating is on & has been since the beginning of November. Thermostat set to 18c & the boiler is kicking in more often. It’s set to an hour in the morning & 3 hours at night on weekdays but this week I’ve been switching it on early, wfh & it gets too cold. I don’t think it’s actually costing much more because the heating is barely on come the 3 hours it normally would be on for. My gas smart meter doesn’t work so I can only take a meter reading on the last day of each month & do my own rough calculation, last month gas came to approx £77. Well within my budget & payments.Next week is looking bitterly cold, so I’ll be keeping the house warm. I booked in a local company to quote for a new back door today. The old one is so draughty & the frame is rotting. Really in poor condition. But the biggest annoyance is my dog going in & out all day.The wooden door get’s really difficult to close & lock when the heating is on & it’s really cold outside. I’m now slamming it just to get it to close. Hoping to replace it as soon as possible. My usual daytime warmth has come from using a hot water bottle while I work & a blanket on my lap in the evening. My legs get cold just sitting, even with thermal leggings under my cotton jogging bottoms.4

Hi
Where we live in London had it on every day, most of the day/night and almost full blast a couple of day ie yesterday and day before. I think its the same today
We are lucky as we have put i a glass wall and sun heats up the livivng room we open doors so the heat travels and we have no nets/blinds on the south-facing rooms as not overlooked and get free heat from the sun.
Thanks2 -
I have noticed a terrible draught from the window in my north facing living room the past couple of days as the temps have dropped. We have had to move the sofa over to the other side of the room away from the window. Heating is on for an hour and a half in the morning and then the same in.the evening now.2025 GOALS
