Yeah I'm gonna start with a dehumidifierI removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2

I do that too @tooldle, but I haven’t these past few mornings cos it’s been so damp/raining/foggy out there ☹️I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2

Temp in the east midland dropped close to zero Saturday night and to at least zero last night (frost this morning). Temps both days never got In to double figures.
My home which could have a number of things done to it to help keep in the heat in longer has reached 12*C during the day upstairs last 2 days and 12.5 downstairs both day's. Upstairs during the night got to 11*C, which is a shame as it's been bouncing around between 13-15*C for as long as I can remember.
That being said I caved in, I put G/C heating on for 10 mins yesterday morning and did the same around 7pm to take the chill off, I did the same today as walking around this morning before my daughter was up I could see condensation coming from my breath.
On the plus side its going to get warmer again by the end of the week. I say warmer ... Normal temps for the time of year apparently, which means for me I may get away with not using the heating again for the rest of the week and next weekend.
If I do get away with not having it on again till December it'll mean my gas usage for November will be around 160kwh's for the month (70kwh or so more than summers usage), last year I used 350kwh's in November (a £30 more for the month if I used last year's kWh's)
Some of the gas usage has come from the hob/s as I/we've had more hot dinners in the last 3 weeks.

Although it's over 12 at the moment even with a jumper on it feels colder - hot water bottle ordered, for use while on the couch more than the bed.
My grandmother and one of her sisters for most of their lives from birth lived in a row of rented terraced houses a couple of doors apart - they had no central heating, eventually they had a gas fire in the "snug" which opened into the unheated galley kitchen and through to the later added unheated bathroom at the back of the houses away from the sun (there was a 1 bar heater above a mirror that could warm the top of your head if you stood there long enough), even when it wasn't frosty you could often see your breath in the bathroom but condensation was not a real issue as the bathroom windows usually iced up instead - for several months of the year ice could be scraped off the inside of them. Other door from the snug went to the bottom of the stairs then through another door to the "kept for best" and usually unheated front room. No heating upstairs, still an old gas mantle in the front bedroom and for everywhere except the bathroom all the windows were draughty sashes - They both lived into their 90's so cold living didn't seem to do them any harm.6 -
Summer seems so far away...Now a gainfully employed bassist again - WooHoo!5

The mystery deepens. This morning just the tiniest wee bit of cond on a couple of windows - curtained front door and bare bathroom window. The heating was on the same last night as the night before. It wasn't nearly as cold here last night as the other night, so it seems that's the deciding factor. Does that suggest my windows are beggared? The heat's getting out to meet the cold/the cold's getting in to my heat and producing condensation?
Anyway, the washer's on cos it's a dry bright forecast here. I'll be able to get my windows open!I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2 -

Like you the washing's on as it's going to be dry... About time had enough of the rain for a few days.3 -
I've definitely had enough of the rain, and not just cos I've a leaky roof
Edit - Yep certainly milder here too, it's 8' now which is about 9' warmer than same time yesterday.I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.2 -
