I'm sort of annoyed. The recent heavy winds and rains have dislodged enormous clumps of moss onto our patio which were previously lodged on our house roof slates. I,ve just realised that we've probabky just lost a layer of free insulation !6

No heating yet! I love the snow (if any) and cold but hoping for a mild one this year2

I'm very envious of those enjoying a warm living room without putting the heating on. At 12:00 my living room, which is generally the warmest room in the house was 13.5 degrees. Brrr, too cold for me WFH so the heating when on.5

I do think the sliding door is very leaky though! I'm trying to talk him into putting a curtain in front of it!2 -
Still off here. Yesterday the inside and outside temperature were the same. 15 degrees. Ok for working outside but sitting inside needed a blanket. The sunshine and 17 degrees forecast for today still haven't arrived.3

The last week has been mainly overcast with some showers but mild for the time of year, indoors between 14 and 15.5.
Today has been sunny which has helped to lift indoors to 18.3 - had been feeling a bit cold indoors before today so watching TV in the evenings tucked up in bed.3 -
Mostly still off but had to switch on hot water to bathroom radiators, on a separate system, to dry today,s large batch of thick laundry items which would never have dried outside.Laundry is one problem thst never really goes away no matter how yiu try to reduce the items needing to be washed!
we do virtually everything on a short 30 degrees cycle now and then if necessary run the thick items a separate fast spin to remove ad much moisture as possible if being dried indoors to try and prevent damp building up.5 -
Still off here but I went into my (unused) cloakroom today and it smelt damp, which tells me I need to air it during the day and heat it in the evenings. No man is worth crawling on this earth.
So much to read, so little time.4 -
Back off again here.Today is quite warm here, with bright sunshine so managed to get a load of washing line dried and gave the garden a last tidy up until the new year and cleaned and put the garden furniture away until spring. Psychologically that’s me now officially in ‘winter mode’Well Behaved women seldom make history
