Coffeekup said:Fortunately no mine hasn't been in yet. Couple of morning's last few weeks I've thought about flicking that switch but the skinflint and enviro-mentalist in me wins. Just as well soon as the sun is up the temperature shoots up.
But this all may change in 10 day's time with talks of a northern wind.No man is worth crawling on this earth.

Still off but only 15 degrees in my warmest room. Hoping the solar heating is turned on later, i.e. the sunshines to warm up my south facing room.

it is on, November the first is normally my official switch-on date, but I made it to today lol I have a stinker of a cold, but I have tweaked the schedule and dropped the temp by 2 degrees. so my beverage temp should be around 17, with the option to boost if I really!! need it.today's mood is brought to you by coffee, lack of sleep and idiots.

Our sunshine heating is now at it's best angle 9am-1pm, enough heat to have the windows open & sit around in T shirt.

Still off, but beginning to get chilli of an evening now so I can see me giving in and putting it on soon. I always try and hold off until at least October then try and switch it off no later than end of March.19-02-18 Total Debt £30,322

Its 2nd November and I too have decided to flick that switch (ok, programme my four distinct zones). First I have to work out how to set the timeNo man is worth crawling on this earth.

Oh to have a south facing living room! Unfortunately the only south facing rooms in our bungalow are our bedroom and my craft room! They get really warm during the day when they are the rooms that don't really need to be warm or heated! Our living room is north east facing so don't really get the sun in here.
Our heating has been on for about a week or so now but it seems to only come on in the morning but a couple of evenings we've needed to light our Ethanol fire for a while to boost the heat but at least it saves the heating on gas!

Mine went on after the clocks changed. I felt I had done really well to get that far because I feel the cold although thankfully October was warmish. I have a south-facing lounge and master bedroom and at one point today it was 25C in them even after the heat had been off for three or four hours.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

Our heating came on this morning, I sorted out the settings on it yesterday to come on if the house was cooler than 16c at 6am, it stays on for an hour which sorts both DP and I out for getting ready in the morning. It's set for 7pm to come on for an hour if it's cooler than 16c again (for weekends the morning setting is for 7.30am). Beyond that we'll see how cold things are over the next few days. I'm home all day at present, but prefer layers and opening a window for some fresh air.

I have visitors today, and my temp is showing as 14.5 so clicked on to get up to 17 to take the chill off ,hopefully with some bodies in the room will be warm enough!Focus on contribution instead of the impressiveness of consumption to see the true beauty in people.0
