I have visitors today, and my temp is showing as 14.5 so clicked on to get up to 17 to take the chill off ,hopefully with some bodies in the room will be warm enough
You make it sound like you had an orgy planned!!  :D
No man is worth crawling on this earth.

So much to read, so little time.
  • Finally caved as Canary camera indicated it was 15 degrees. Not sure about it's accuracy but it was chilly and too cold to sit working at the laptop. Will try to keep the temperature low as dreading the bill. Amazing how people coped before central heating.

We managed to keep warm even with the little one running in and out of the rooms leaving doors open!!

Ours comes on for an hour in the morning just to bring the temperature up a bit and then it stays up the rest of day and only drops a couple of degrees overnight.  It's made a lot of difference having our extension flat roof well insulated last year.  The property used to be really cold all the time before that and we needed the heating on morning and evening to keep it a reasonable temperature.

Havent had to put any heating on yet. I dont have any central heating, just a little electric heater but indoor temps are around 14-16C which isnt too bad so far.
I just make sure I wrap up well, the best thing I did was invest in a couple of Oodies to wear which did cost alot to buy but have really saved me money on heating bills...so worth it!
  • For the first time since 29 April, and with the sitting room temperature at 12.6 degC at 16:15h, I lit the gas fire.  Temperature is now 14.4 degC.

  • I succumbed to some heating when it got down to 13 degrees one morning and no sun was forecast to help warm the room. I was even wearing my coat in the house.

I notice that the bird feeders are emptying at almost the same rate as in the spring, so it’s not just me who has noticed that it is suddenly much colder.  I’ve finally given in and set the heating to 18.
