Just been looking at the temp and it is 18.3C @ 8.38pm here in our house. I can live comfortably with that.
When it gets nearer 17C I start to feel chilly and at 16C I can feel the cold in my hands so the CH goes on.

Today we had the CH on for 4 hours and all is well.

My CH is permanently switched off. The frost stat comes on when it's really cold outside. I sometimes push the "extra hour" button on the system, but I reckon I've only had the CH on for a total of 10 hours so far this winter. I have 5 radiators in my little abode, but only 2 work. Candles help as they give out great heat. My power shower has also died, so only a trickle of water now, but it'll have to do for the time being :)
  • Our CH is on, all the time. Thermostat, electronic programmable is set to 18C during the day, 19C in the evening and 14C overnight. Current monthly cost since Feb 2014, £76 per month. Gas and Electric. Think I will rub tum and put gas fire on as well this evening.

If I want to freeze my balls off, I would had been born a Ram and live in the hills of Derbyshire.
  • Very cold and dry here today with a little watery sunshine , had the gas central heating on first thing then the sun warmed up all the south facing windows .....Tea time I lit the fire and its nice and cosy in the one room , and the dawg if flat out near the hearth .....

  • Absolutely freezing cold raw feel to the weather today, heating GC heating on first thing and on and off all day , but lit the fire at tea time and now sitting having cheese and crackers for tea by the fire, best place to be with the damp dismal dank day.......Its definitely cold enough for snow this week........Keep warm folks....

It feels freezing here this morning. I have had three cups of mint tea as I have an upset stomach and am about to get back into bed for a while.:o:p

I'm going to turn up the heating upstairs.
