I have started to put a light jumper on.
Curtains around the home now being shut around 8pm.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I returned from a holiday with DS and family a couple of days ago and turned the heating on within an hour. Can't believe how much difference a few degrees up there makes, and coming back to a cold, unaired house I was shivering in no time. It only stayed on for a couple of hours though, unpacking, laundry, giving the house a quick dust/vac soon got me warm. Today it's chilly so I've got out some sox and a long sleeved jumper. We have been spoiled though, had a beautiful Spring/Summer here so can't complain...too much0

Had electric blanket on last few nights and dug out warmer pjs. Also put heating on for a hour last night as house felt really cool.
I really need to get myself an electric blanket. I feel absolutely rotten so I think I need to snuggle up under it.
That said, my blanket at home is amazing as it is.Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

No sign of needing heating yet. We still have the summer duvets on and sleeping with the small top bedroom windows open.
We have spoken about heating the house this autumn/winter and decided it's trial and error due to living here 9 months, new heating system put in place just as colder spell leaving at the beginning of the year and having that wet mild winter.
We are a tiny house with open spiral staircase so trying to have lounge and kitchen rad on only downstairs and a top up (as the heat rises quickly) with the bathroom towel rail for upstairs.
That said we are no where near ready to turn it on yet. Night time temps don't fall below 13degrees in the near future so can't imagine it being before mid September at this rate. If we can get into October without switching it on I will be happy.0 -
Hoping not to have to put the heating on until October or November.
Got my onesie on and the kitchen and lounge are a little warmer as I have been cooking.0 -
No heating on here yet either, I am also hoping to leave if off until October0

There's no way i'm putting my heating on yet,a light weight jumper has taken the chill off.
We have a well insulated house and managed to go to christmas last year, then on very low on the odd evening in Jan and Feb .0 -
Did put the gas fire on the other evening despite not wishing to in August. Had my layers on, plus extra thick socks and slippers on but my fibromyalgia started to flare so the fire went on.

I felt the same but DH admitted he'd succumbed for a few hours while I was out yesterday evening! I think it was a good idea as it had been pouring with rain all day and house felt cold and clammy.
Temperatures back up close to normal today so back to the tee shirt.
I have used electric blanket a few times though and have big, fleecy throw to hand in sitting room.0
