OFF at the moment - was on from 7.00am-9.00am with thermo set at 20deg.
Waiting for 2dgs's (12 & 5) to arrive later today. IF I think it's feeling a bit nippy, I'll put it on 30mins before they arrive - otherwise it will 'kick-in' again at 7.00pm-10.00pm. I have a LARGE west-facing window, so it gets the very last of the sun as it's setting - though it goes cold very quickly once the sun HAS gone down. That's when the blinds get drawn!
They're sleeping in a double bed tonight with King Size Duvets (Summer & Autumn) poppered together - no way they'll be cold :rotfl:.0 -
No CH yesterday, or today. I am at a friend's most of the weekend, so I save even more (they are much better of and insulated so I will be wearing a T-shirt to cope with their tropical temperatures lol!!!!)0

off here at the moment but it is freezing outside and windy so I will probably put it on later
House isnt too cold as it is well insulated, I am sitting here in a fleecy jumper and leggings and am ok0 -
I haven't had the heating on since about last March, it just hasn't been cold enough. The thermostat is currently reading 18 degrees and hasn't dropped below 16 since I don't know when. This is thanks to the double-glazing my landlord installed early last year. I just cannot believe what a difference it has made.
This mild weather is cheering me up when I remember we had snow and ice from the middle of November last year.0 -

I'm sure it's nothing you don't know already, just a matter of getting the balance right between the dial on the boiler and the thermostat on the sitting room wall. Boiler was on 2 and thermostat on 18, now have boiler dial on 4.5 and thermostat on about 12/13. Sounds Dutch to me but the radiators are much hotter and he assures me it actually uses less gas - we will see when the bill comes in :undecided0 -
Still off here! My boiler secret is not having it on at all (a good thing as it also seems to be causing problems lately, but that's another thread on here!)
Checked my British Gas predictor last night and the prediction is now down from £250 to £231 so it's nice to see results from my efforts :money:0 -

When you say boiler temp do you mean the radiator temp on the boiler dials..??
I turned this down (no clue why as I don't understand how it works)...have now just turned them up (no clue why again other than your post....lol). I shall see how that works.
To be honest I don't understand it at all, cant work out what's best for the water temp either.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -

Thanks that seems to explain it for idiots ( me I mean). I have even bookmarked it so I can read it again and for it to sink in.
However my thermostat is right above a radiator and by curtains..not ideal....but, this is what I have to work with, and can't complain compared to last house at all.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D.......
