I switched ours OFF last night as it's too warm in my home.
My dogs were play fighting and they were panting afterwards and drinking lots of water, I had taken the fleecy blanket off our bed and was adding more cold water to my shower and I just thought this is silly, I'm turning the heating off.:pHOUSE MOVE FUND £16,000/ £19,000

On for the usual 30 min warm up this morning, then off until at least 3pm.0

It was so warm yesterday I switched it off until the evening. It came on this morning but it's lovely and warm and sunny so it's off again. The weather is all over the place but I'm not complaining about the sunshine0

Still off, feels a bit chilly but nothing I can't handle.
Bill predict now £229. I credited my account with £225 so if I keep this up for the next 3 weeks I should have a bit left to carry over to the next quarter! :T
Seems that using my fan heater to now and then warm the room I am in is working out much cheaper than trying to heat the house (even with big radiator in bedroom switched off with TRV), average daily electricity use has only gone up by about 20p a day (that's with my dehumidifier running a lot more than in summer as well) while my gas is currently falling after the few weeks where I was experimenting with it.
Just what seems to work for me, am sure other houses and situations will be different, but for me a quick blast of fanned heat is enough, and the rest of the time I have my jumpers and workout routines :j

It felt colder last evening and this morning but still only got it on downstairs so far. As the weather is all over i'm messing with the thermostat at times, plus I think i'm starting with my internal radiator being all over too...so one minute hot and opening door and windows even more than normal...then shutting them...then opening them.....
It is pretty warm though for this time of year when I think back to how cold I was last and the one before. I think the sunny periods help as conservatory isn't freezing and only used the heater in there twice for a few mins to tale the chill off.
A bit gloomy here today though.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
We've had an horrendous 'early evening' here with howling winds and 'sheeting rain'.
Afraid I 'fast-forwarded' the c/h timer when I got in at 6.15 - I wasn't waiting until 7.00pm to get warm.
I'm hoping my jacket will dry out for tomorrow morning .............

Not only on, but I will be blasting it today to dry what will be a chinese laundry to get everything washed and dry for xmas. Will probably blasted for the next couple of days to get it all done and out of the way.
Plus it is getting colder here I think, as i'm busy doing stuff and not red hot as usual.
May put extra radiators on too to quicken the process.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
Not on here as I hate being too hot, would much rather be chilly. Living room at 18 degrees and bedroom at 11. I have had to buy a dehumidifier though as the condensation in the house is terrible! :eek:0
