  • Off here although I did have to put the fire on yesterday as we had family over and they said it was cold in the living room......it was 17.5 degrees so not cold by our standards! :rotfl:

I had to air out the house by having the garden door open for a while and to get rid of any condensation. I feel a bit of a draught now though so I have put on my slipper boots and had a cup of tea.

I just went to close the curtains in my bedroom to keep the heat in but have the window open a crack as I can't bear the feeling of being closed in, no matter how cold it is.:p

  • My storage heater has been on for one day only. Ive turned it off again as its too hot. I work in colder conditions and even with my heating off I still feel warm most days. So I class myself as yes my heating will go on if needed now..

The temperatures will drop dramatically this week so we were told on tonights weather forecast....Igot my fire lit, no other heating throughout the bungalow , but im only using this one room , so no need to heat the whole place up..........
  • My heating is on downstairs. I have lodgers and they have the storage heater on constant in their room and the window open - its really peeving me but it's inclusive with their rent do I say something and how without upsetting the status quo

You cant really say much as the tenants have a right to fresh air, the room needs ventilating, but thats the problem with storage heating , you soon lose all the heat with draughts and open windows............

Put the heating on a few mins ago, ive been busy all day , but when you sit down its not warm enough , soon it will very soon get up to 21 degrees ........Probaly turn the heating off in hours time and go light the sitting room fire..........
  • Heating on again, but still only to dry clothes, as it's raining again. :(

I bought some cheapy £5 boots from Primarni today, but I'm using them as slippers :) cheaper than most slipper boots but with a proper sole - more insulating on our laminate flooring.

Definitely heating on here, forecast sub-zero tonight, so will leave it on but thermostat turned down. Warnings of a widespread hard frost here for morning. Brrr.
