  • Still off here too, I like to try and hold off till November. Glad to say this year so far has been much less of a struggle than last year so far.

Still off here. The kids are using fleeces and hot water bottles at night and we are lighting candles in the evening, long may this carry on.

I have moved into the back bedroom, its smaller and have made more use of fleeces and heavier togged duvets/quilts(whatever they're called)and I have the option of staying under the bedclothes whenever I wish, being single.

Or riding around on the buses, an occasional social event where the heating is on but as said so far its seemingly milder than last year...so far.

Heating is on, thermostat set at 23. No heating on upstairs so far though except at the weekend when mum came to stay.

The problem I have is that as it's getting colder I want The heating on, but also still want the doors and windows open as I like the air to come in....not very MSE I know, and i'm making house colder with them open.

Timers on for an hour or so first thing in the morning, an hour around 4pm, and then from 7 I think until 9.30.

Anyone else in the N/east got it on....or am I being a wimp...??
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
