Macgirl's "I Can Do Anything....If I Put My Mind to it" Diary

Morning!
Had a lovely time last night. Our friends cooked a gorgeous meal and plenty of laughs (and drinks) were had. Then at around 4am little DD woke up crying and was very sick and has been ever sinceNeedless to say she came into our bed, but I told her to.
DH has gone to work this morning, so I think today will be a duvet/blanket in front of the telly day....
The good thing is I won't be spending any money and can work out my finances as I get paid tomorrow. I hate getting paid early in December, as January's payday always seems light years awayBut at least 2011 will bring a change to my DFW status
Hope everyone has a good day0 -
Sorry DD wasn't well - I hope she soon recovers. Enjoy your duvet day, I don't think it will do you any harm whatsoever.

She'll be under the duvet, I have *loads* to do, so will do it in and among.
I'm going to finish writing and post my last cc's, do 3 loads of washing, clean and tidy my bedroom/dumping ground and hoover the whole house.
If I can get all that done, I'll be very happy.0 -
Poor DD.. might explain why she was a pain yesterday. I know my kids were always a pain just before they became ill and then I would feel guilty for not being patient0

:o:o Oh now I feel *so* guilty
She can't keep water down, bless her, so we are both on the sofa and she's getting lots of TLC.I've heard so many mothers say that, thats true!

Yes, I'm relaxing too, I've only just got dressed! I did manage to nip out and sweep the drive and path of snow before it turns to ice. My sister was here then, so was on babysitting duty.
The washer, dishwasher and dryer are all on (eek to the leccy bill, but needs must), so when DH gets home he can be on duty and I'll tackle the rest of my list.
Until then though, it will be the dreaded cards and making the final adjustments to my online supermarket order before Tuesday's delivery.0 -
Hi my ds has been ill with it to i am on day 3 of sitting on sofa with him,x0

Hope he's better soon BTD.
I'm so frustrated that I've got virtually NOTHING done today. I'm working all week and then it's Christmas!
Not one solitary card has been written and I *still* have things to wrap (I knew I sounded too smug when I said I'd "almost" done).
Anyway, the good news is that little DD is better and even ate some tea (and a chocolate mini roll ) and has kept it down. So she was sick for exactly 12 hours, then it stopped and she was fine (and calm :T). Weird.
She went straight to sleep, so I'm hoping will be fine tomorrow. DH is off with them and has lots of fun things planned.
I feel like I've wasted a day, but had no choice and now the pressure's on to clean the house and prepare for Christmas, as well as a heavy work week:o:o
Of course, it will be ok because it always is. Just hope I can dodge the lurg that everyone around me has - they're dropping like flies!
Happy Christmas week to those kind enough to read, hope it's a peaceful one for you :santa2:0 -
Hope the sickness stayed away overnight.

macgirl, of course its not a waste! Your family comes first rather than Christmas cards, and thats exactly what you did!
