  • Oh Mac, I often joke with my friends that if I ever have kids they will have a cage just like my pets do and having just read about your little girl I thinking more and more that I am right!

My friend's little boy sounds a like your girl. She is at her wits end and has on occasion gone kicked things in the back garden rather then trust herself in front of him. I do seriously think he is awful tho. He once cried and screamed through a whole dinner in a restaurant we went to.

have a glass of wine mate and good luck xxxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Thanks Buffy x I have an empty wine glass next to me - so all is well ;)

I have to say I'm not an Earth Mother (obviously :o) and if I knew then what I know now....I doubt I'd have had children. Before everyone recoils in horror, I'm being truthful but it's not to say I want to get rid of my kids - far from it, but it is certainly the hardest thing I've ever done.

Right, off to get ready for a 7 year old's party - Rock 'n' Roll!!! Have a good evening xx

Husbands don't either in my experience :rotfl:

Survived the party, which was good to catch up with a few mates and now DH is putting the kids to bed. I have to say I've got a good one there, I'm very lucky - no manual required :)

Just watching some trash telly, then an early night. Lots of pottering tomorrow, so hopefully nothing too taxing and a nice chilled day to look forward to - kind of forgotten what chilling feels like! :rotfl:

Hope everyone's having a nice evening

Chilling is definitely the buzz word around these boards at the moment.

I hope your little one is tired out after that kind of tantrum and a party! And that you and OH got some sleep, macgirl. You know she's going to grow up to be the most adorable person, don't you? Bound to ....

Thanks KC :kisses3: She is adorable now, just hard going at times!

I've decided - no more ranting about kids - I must focus on money with this diary and I can *If I put my mind to it* :D

A few weeks ago, DH was getting a bit exasperated that I was ploughing ahead with the house/s and leaving him with nothing to do. I admit I did do this, but only because he has his own business which is very demanding (and a business partner who is equally so), so I tried to take the pressure off and deal with all the solicitors/insurances/banks etc, myself.

I said, "Fine, I could do with some help, please can you sort out the Landlord's insurance?" I'd got some quotes, but they were more than 30 days away from when we needed it, so couldn't book it. Then, I forgot about it.

    So did DH......

So yesterday we had a tenant move in, but no LL insurance - until 9.20pm last night  Luckily I had left our old policy running, so the house was insured whilst empty.

Today I have to cancel the old policy and submit meter readings to Scottishpower so we can get our refund, send off the old modem to Virgin, so we don't get charged £50 and type the last few letters to let all my CC's know we've moved.

I was going to tidy up the garden and clean my car, but there's going to be torrential rain according to the forecast. Instead we might to to Ikea and buy a wardrobe for little DD's[STRIKE] cell[/STRIKE] bedroom - I joke, dear readers! :rotfl:

Have a good day and hope you escape the rain where you are :)
