Afternoon everyone - I can't believe its been so long since I last posted - the days seem to be flying past at the minute - can't believe the kids will be finished school in a couple of weeks!
Tilly had her second lot of needles on Weds - she was ever so good bless her and only cried for a minute or so. She's teething a bit already and keeps sucking ther thumb!
Haven't managed to do much crafting although I did get a commission the other day - okay it was only from the OH but never mind! He actually complimented me on my cards too - which makes a change from him moaning about the mess!!! Has anyone else seen the new MME pads that are due out in August - I'm thinking of pre-ordering a few - they look lovely!
Ali - hope you have a fab time at the wedding!
Butterfly2001 - what a lovely idea for your friend! How much were you thinking of spending if you don't mind me asking - its just that some sites offer free postage if you spend over a certain amount?0 -
Okay - I've just been very naughty and pre-ordered 7 of the MME pads - if you pre-order them from crafty emma's then you get them for 20% off making them £5.20 - I couldn't resist at that price. She's also selling packs of the new promarker nibs - 3 for £1.95 if anyone's interested.
Butterfly2001 - I would suggest getting her some 6x6 inch paper pads, some twine/ribbon/lace, maybe some flowers or some adhesive gems/pearls. This is a decent site - its 99p postage or free if you spend over £25. This is another good site - postage starts at £1 if you spend under £10.0 -
Melissa Oh dear they look gorgeous, must resist and actually start saving for my holidays
Can anyone help me with embossing in the cuttlebug, how do you line up your paper so you don't get a line or it doesn't quite match? Have looked at Iki's blog but am still none the wiser0 -
I'm thinking £25 should be more than enough and i can always buy myself some pieces to make up an order
thanks for those links

Hi, you could package the bits in a Really Useful Box, I use them to store my craft stuff, they come in different sizes and colours and have 20% off at Hobbycraft atmCraftwork Cards card blanks are great quality and a good price.
Hey Padster, sounds like you are super busy. I've got the dreaded branded uniform to order for my two, two lots , that's the equivalent of soooo much craft stash
Mel, I've seen the MME paper pads, don't think there is one I don't like. Glad Tilly got on ok with her jabs x
Marg, thank you so much, everything is gorgeous x:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Hello just popping through,
It's manic at the moment the loft "space" is about 2 weeks off being finished and I'm just getting so impatient now, next week is the trip up to bristol to go to Ikea to get the furniture for it and over the first week of the holidays I will hopefully be moving all the craft stuff up there, will post pics on my bit of the internet when its all done,
I have finally made the card for flour girls challenge and made the teachers cards and boxes this week a first for me I think,
So hugs to all that need them congrats to all the winners, and welcome to anyone new
take careTake care Jo x0 -
Does anyone know where I've put my new stamps?
Two LOTV recent purchases have gone AWOL I'm just hoping they haven't been binned in my recent attempts to tidy up my craft space!
I managed to make a card for the birthday of my friends DIL yesterdayit was going to double as flourgirl's challenge but sadly didn't have any swirls & only a couple of pearls by the time it was finished. Each card I make is a mini adventure 'cos I never know where it's going to end up!
rainmac - glad it arrived safely.
padster - good to see you found a minute or two to post have you tried the pirate look for crafting - patch the distance eye and the other may work harder? Hope you have a relaxing holiday when it comes around. Must be double galling to buy expensive uniform that wont 'work' in Scotland.
Melissa - those papers are so tempting - do you think if I get loads more it will be easier to decide which to use or harder? :rotfl::rotfl:I can't remember what I've got already. Glad Tilly was good for her jabs.
Jowri & Carmin - good to 'see' you - looking forward to your photos Jowri.
Madfrog - I've never managed to get even embossing on a space bigger than the folders so sorry I can't help. I don't know why they make them so small!! If I MUST emboss I make a small card.0 -

I've managed to do this successfully with the swiss dots folder, I embossed one side of the paper then placed the folder on the other side carefully lining up one row of dots with those already embossed then placed it into my cuttlebug with the unembossed side going through first and slowly rolled it through when you get to just before the edge of the folder stop and roll it back out the way you put it in so you don't get that line from the edge of the folder I usually find that I have to use an embossing tool to pop the first row of dots back out as they seem to squash hope that helps and that it makes sense0 -
It's lovely outside just now, off out soon to the football museum then we are going to hobbycraft and costco
