my son has his induction tomorrow, im not ready either , he is my last baby and has been the easiest to have at home, an absolute joy so i am not looking forward to september.
on a positive note will have more time to make crafty things as i wont have to worry about him meddling, he loves it when i get all my stuff out
Lol, my DS2 is a meddler too:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -
Ali.b - congratulations on your win!:j
Welcome back Georgirl - hope you get to keep your job.
Rusty - hope you get the school issues sorted.
Melissa - No I can't find the stamps anywhere! One was to make DH's birthday card so need to find before August. Think I need some uninterrupted time to plough through all my stuff carefully instead of the random searching I've done so far there's always something else to do.
rainmac - well done on the fundraising:j
I've not had problems with blo**er for a while - mainly 'cos I've not had time to go there! so apologies for not commenting I'll catch up eventually.
Now laundry & domestics to do..........:(0 -
Well done Ali, will post your stash later in the week if that's ok (maybe Thursday) x
Georgiegirl, hello :hello: lovely to see you back xxx
Rusty, I too am having some problems with Blobber, getting error 503 sometimes when I comment and not other times, such a pain in the bum  Error 403 is regularly occuring too. What's going on with your school, hope lil M is ok xxx DS2 has his induction session today 12.30-2.30, I am going to be in bits, I'm really not ready for him to start school
Had even better news about the fayre, when the treasurer took all the takings home and worked out the figures we made over £1700 profit :j
Wow what a fabulous amount to make!!! well done you, you have worked your socks off! I hope they appreciate you! xxx
I keep getting several diff ones... your card is beautiful!! inspired me though so crafting as I type lol
Basically cutting a long story short, Maddison is still having issues with accidents, although she is a lot better than she was (this is since just before I had surgery in March) and they want her to go for 1 hour on the tues, then stay at home a full week and start 1/2 days on the tues and weds the following week, I asked for them to be brought closer together as it will cause too much upset for Maddison and will undo everything it has taken me to do in 4 months but apparently even though the school harp on about it being the childrens needs and happiness first the general attitude was disgusting. The response was nothing we can do, if I have to change it for you then I have to change it for all of the other parents, even though I have a genuine reason. I ended up in tears most of Friday as it is winding me up so much. The other children in her class start the very next day and it is done off birthays, the older ones start sooner! so Paul has written a letter of complaint to the head. Basically if she has to have the week off, then I wont be able to take her on the tuesday without horrible consequences. which in turn means both me and M miss out on spending that hour together building her confidence and not giving me a complete breakdown at the thought of her being away from me!
Does that make any sense?
I stayed the same weight wise .... but its that time of the month so glad that I haven't gained at least lolRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Oh Rusty, they should be taking everyone's questions and concerns on board and treating children as individuals. DS2 goes there for 2 hours today and then starts 1/2 days on 14th September from there it's everyday. Best of luck with your letter, love the pic of your dd with your doll xxx:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0

rainmac - what a fabby amount to make well done!! (oh whenever is best for you!!)
rusty - hope you get sorted out it doesnt seem to make any sense, not letting her go??? I bet she's not the first or the last to have accidents - theyll have a class without kids if they are not careful!!
Right best get on with some housework and then if I get it all done I can have a bit of guilt free crafting before I pick the boys up.
p.s. started to get Jacks uniform sorted for secondary school so far without shirts and trousers £75 on 4 items - I dont spend that on myself!!! I'm dreading when it comes to getting the shoes for both the boys!! aargh!!0 -

Sorry it is Paul and I which have said not to take her in for the hour if she cant start until the following week, it would be too disrupting and stressful for her, but then why should both Maddison and I miss out? cause you can guarantee that I wont be able to stay for an hour when I do take her. Thing is she wont tell anyone, incase they shout at her, she trys to hide it from us and she will sit in it quite happily which then causes soreness and all of her eczema to flair up badly in places it shoutldnt if you know what I mean!!
Do you have to have an all branded uniform? I think it is disgusting the proces of these uniforms and the fact they have to have them! I do however understand why they should all look the same. Luckily until Tom starts secondary school I just buy 2 jumpers for him, and 2 cardis for her which are branded, then everything else is a supermarket jobby!!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
DS2 was fine at his school visit :A, the teacher said he was very sociable (maybe meaning he talks too much?)
. I went food shopping to take my mind off things.
Ali, that is an awful lot for 4 items of uniform . Rusty, we have to buy branded sweatshirts, polo shirts, school bags x 2, PE sweatshirt and encouraged to buy a school fleece jacket. Everything else can be from wherever and I've already been buying that over the last few weeks. DS1 is 7 and will be going into year 3 in September, he has to have a rugby shirt for PE that costs nearly £20 and a pair of PE socks that cost a fiver. I think that is completely crazy given he is only 7 and is growing at an alarming rate. I completely understand the issue you have with your dd going for an hour one week and then not going again for days and days, it's not very consistent x
I keep looking at the new MME paper pads, I want them but can't afford them (well I can but really shouldn't), please tell me not to buy them:wave: If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain :wave:0 -

they certainly know where they can make their money!!! ... although there must be something which allows the parents to say no, not everyone can afford all of the expense and surely they cant force you not to pay for it if you cant afford it? especially in bad times??Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0 -
Meant to add ... [strike]dont[/strike] buy the MME pads!! I want them too .... very tempted!Raising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0

I've not long got back from DS's school. I met Brandon's new teacher and also Leo's new one as he'll be returning to his old school full time in September, Tilly was an angel but Elliot because he was tired was a complete nightmare - I feel exhausted!
Lizalloareds - you'll have to show us pics of your decorated cakes - I used to be quite good at baking but haven't bothered for years now.
Flourgirl - the wedding invites sound fab - good luck getting them done!
Rusty - hope you get things sorted soon with Maddison's school - it does seem ridiculous that they can't change the days around to help you.
Rainmac - congrats on raising such a huge amount!0
