Wow thanks Melissa, I noticed it matched my card, it is beautiful xxx

Ok so please forgive me for being totally thick, but what on earth do I do with the big shot? I thought it would be straightforward like the cuttlebug!!

The plates come all tabbed together on a hinge, do I keep the hinge on? or unscrew them??

Also what plates do I use for nesties??

Sorry if I am being really thick, the instructions only say what to use for sizzix dies but I am using nesties!

Maybe this wasnt such a good idea?

Hey Rusty, don't unscrew anything, you flip the 'tabs' to use different heights for different thicknesses of dies. Does that make sense? For normal dies e.g. Nesties use everything - the screwed together things at the bottom, one cutting plate, card and die and another plate above that and roll through. Easy peasey. Let me know if you have any questions x

Ali, I have been embossing the edges of my nestie shapes with the end of a pen or my finger, just running it around the edge of the die with the cut shape still in the die if that makes sense. Never worked out exactly what I need or how to emboss properly :p

Been out all day with friends and their little ones, had a lovely time, we've all got children starting school in September.

Edit, Rusty, had to treat myself to one of the new Ladybug Xmas stamps, the one with Jack writing his xmas list, it's just adorbale, can't wait to have a play with it, remind me of my own Jack x

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Had a lovely day, but it was busy and hot.

Not so hot here today, we've had thunderstorms and loads of rain, its still warm though. But DD's sports day has been cancelled because of rain.

Rusty - I have sent a card, so hopefully you have received it, if not let me know and I will send another. I have a big shot and love it. Glad you managed to figure out how to use it!

Anyone's kiddies affected with the teacher strikes on Thursday? Our school keeps sending out updates about what the arrangements are, so far DS1's year group are unaffected - phew but other years are.
