Anyone's kiddies affected with the teacher strikes on Thursday? Our school keeps sending out updates about what the arrangements are, so far DS1's year group are unaffected - phew but other years are.
All 3 of mine are off so Daddy's got them for the day whilst I'm at work :rotfl:
Congrats on your win Rainmac.
Rusty be nice to the Big Shot :rotfl:
Happy belated birthday wishes to Addams sorry I didn't send a card time just seems to be running away from me at the moment.0 -
Rainmac - thanks for that re: the embossing
Also congrats on your win - beautiful card xx:T
Twinkle - hope work goes ok after about 10mins I bet it feels like you have never been away
Our school is affected by the strike luckily hubby off to have them - so no doubt theyll just be on the xbox all morning - I am at work until 1 - but they had better not be:mad:
Just getting myself sorted to make some cards to last minute party invites and I've not got any white card left to print digis onto grrr thought I had an odd sheet or two lying around but noooo so a visit to Wilkos tomorrow - hope their card is a better batch this time around.0 -
Hello ladies sorry i've been missing but things are a bit crazy here. My lappy got a bug too and after 2 days trying to sort it i had to have it restored to the factory settings. Luckily last week i'd backed up most of my files and saved all my paid for digis to pen drive. I still lost a few things but not as bad as it could have been.
Thank you all for the good wishes for adam. Rainmac the card we got this morning is stunning. A lady came to see me from the council and she was admiring it for ages she said you're very talented and i agree.
Addams sorry i missed your birthday and hope you had a great one. I really must get back on top of things.
Rusty fab news re the weight loss you must be very pleased. I thought of joining slimming world but can't decide does anyone recommend it or not.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Hi everyone - my Mum and sister came up to visit - they're still here! I've spent the last few days searching the net looking at things you can make with felt - I've ordered a couple of kits but they're coming from Canada so I'm going to have to wait until I can get started, I'm so impatient though - I want to get started now!
Viclspence - Elliot is always hurting herself too, he fell over a cushion the other day and bit his lip - it looked terrible for days!
Addams - happy birthday for yesterday - I'm glad to hear that you had a good day! I didn't realise that you had applied to be foster parents - good luck - what a fab thing to do!
Ali - can't believe your DS had a barn stuck on his head!!! I love the end bit too - I well up at the bit when he's looking through the book and she's stuck loads of extra pics in it!
Rainmac - congrats on your win.
Artydoll - hope you feel better soon.0 -

Not such a clever start to the morning here!
Haven't slept a wink! Called police at 2.30am coz I heard a car window being smashed, knew it wasn't my car coz I could see it from window and I seen the wee ****** run away! Only for my husband to go out this morning and discover it was his car....so not a happy household....still waiting on police responding to last nights call never mind the one they got from a grumpy late for work husband this morning! Have an appointment this mornin I'm not looking forward to and not feeling the best
On a lighter note my big bite and corner chomper arrived yesterday!Ca't wait to get home and destress :rotfl:
Hope everyone has a better day than me!0 -

Oh no, that's awful :mad:Hope they catch the wee ******. Good luck with the appointment and happy chomping later xxx
Just had a splurge in the M&S online sale, all for the kiddies. Got a few half price t-shirts for the lil man and some school bits as they have 20% off uniform including socks and underwear.
Going to order a new dishwasher today, it's been a couple of weeks without one and I can bear it no more, my name is rainmac and I have turned into a grumpy dishwasherThe one I want seems to be back in stock at Dixons and they will deliver for free and take the old one away for free too, so it's sort of MSE right?

Yay! Which one? Meant to say we like ours, it is quiet, and there's no deciding which program to use as it does it all itself. My DH is in charge of the dishwasher as he's a bit OCD about how it's loaded so I let him get on with it:)but washing up by hand is totally my department - we weren't long without one.
Twinkledust - sorry to hear about your troubled night & much shame on the police for not responding at the time - at least that way you might have got some sleep. Hope your day gets a lot better x0 -

:eek: Glad you got them backed up before PHEW!
twinkledust that's not good. Sending you hugs
Rainmac I can sympathise - my kitchen's not big enough for a dishwasher and I've told OH that when we move house I ain't going unless the kitchen's big enough for one :rotfl:0 -
Just quickly, Scatty & Twinkle your cards have arrived. Twinkle thanks for the papers! they are fab! xxxRaising kids is like being held hostage by midget terrorists0
