DTB - I do sympathise with the time before the funeral it's like you are in 'limbo' isn't it? ((Hugs)) We only had to wait 13 days but it was too long!

Sorry can't help with printing on thick card but (from my recent experience) these types of memorial cards tend to be laminated so that may be an alternative avenue to explore? Might the funeral director be able to advise where to get them printed/laminated?

Hello - just a quickie from me - hoping 'normal service' (whatever that is) will be resulmed after the funeral which is to be next Monday - 17 days after my Granny died. It's just too long to have that hanging over you.
Spent all of yesterday at the school summer fair so am exhausted. Have loads of piccies to blog but never seem to get time to do it.

    So -a quick question..........

My Auntie asked me to do the orders of service for the funeral but I couldn't face it or the pressure so have agreed instead to make some 'In Memoriam Cards' which will be distributed at the funeral if they're ready or afterwards if not. I have one from when my Great Grandmother died in 1951 which I really love. It's a simple thing with 'In Memoriam' with a border around it on the front, a bible quote on the inside front and details , dates etc on the inside back. The only thing is I want it to be decent quality card and my printer won't do it. Does anyone know of anywhere that would print out something like that from a memory stick?

DTB, how about somewhere like Staples or Office World? I don't know if they do but it may be worth an ask. Or a local printers? Good luck x

    Hi everyone,
I am fairly new to card making, had dabbled in the past but have a biggie coming up - am making all of the invites for my wedding!
I want them to look like records to tie in with our 50's theme and the fact that music is very important to both of us.
I have got 100 7" vinyls for £20 (worked out cheaper than buying card and styling it to look like a record) and now I need to work on designing the label and 'sleeve'
I am feeling a bit stumped at the moment with it though, anyone have any advise/suggestions/ideas for me?
Many thanks for taking the time to help on this

Congratulations Jo, found a record invite here on Etsy, may give you an idea of layout etc? Some fab ideas here using vinyl for decorations.

Twinkle have a look here or here there are loads of freebie papers, you might find something suitable, if you have a way of embossing, just use plain white card and a bit of fancy ribbon.
