Hi all. Had a go at making my first card last night, not brave enough to show it yet;). It has given me enough confidence to try another and I have taken photos on my phone of a lot of cards on your blogs for ideas if thats ok. Bit manic here at present, 2 granchildren just gone home and another 2 on their way. They all stay overnight.

  • Bloomin soggy here - can you keep the snow in the middle bit please???

Several of you have mentioned the dog image on my card - Is a freebie from Beary Dust thought it was in the shop Doh!

Cleared some of DDs room this morning and used my swipe card in the charity shop (for gift aid) while OH finally got round to booking holiday - he'd booked the room last week but has finally sorted out the flights :j Something to look forward to at least :D Need to stop eating to lay on the beach :rotfl::rotfl:
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Been cleaning all day so not had time to make any cards have loads I want to get through as well, going to spend Monday and Tuesday locked away in my craft room

Still not got through all blogs yet but I am working my through slowly
  • Back from quilting - as normal, not a lot of sewing got done, but had such a lovely time. I sold 8 cards for £13, and also delivered the one that a pal had commissioned (the speedway one on my blog) for which she paid £4.00, so that is a total of £17 for 9 cards, Gave £1.50 to group funds as a donation for allowing me to sell.

Although it's not strictly all profit, came home with £15.50 I didn't have before I went, and another commision for a 70th birthday card and a request to take them back, to include some with verses in.

I'm feeling very chipper at the moment, going to try and stay awake till bedtime so that I can have a "normal" day tomorrow.

Hope the rest of you are having calmish days.

Viclspence - Sorry you're having trouble at work - is it a (not so subtle) attempt to downgrade you & save themselves £? Hope DD is less stressed about her Dad today.

That's the conclusion i've come up with, as once I sign it then next thing will be that i'm paid more than any other secretary and my pay will be cut. It's daft really as we don't cost the hospital/company anything. We are seconded out to a group of anaesthetists who pay our salary, plus extras (NI, life insurance, uniform) in full. I've cheered up a bit today. My DD has gone to see her dad and he has been told that he should be out of hospital on monday so has asked if she could go stay with him for the feb half term to cheer him up a bit, apparently the op he had yesterday was a success so he will be home sooner as originally he was going to be in until Thursday.

Not made any cards today, which i'm rather annoyed about. Went to physio this morning and suddenly became really sleepy and had to have a two hour nap! I was rather pleased about the card kit with the Crafts Beautiful as I loved the bits in the lets make card mag and it's half the price!
