Twinkle/Oap - enjoy the SECC - I am waiting for the slightly tamer Harrogate Papercrafts I've been really good and not bought for ages to try and save up. (ooh p.s. cinnamon cashews sound lovely are they home made???).

Well that was a short "me time"

Dandy (cat) decided to be sick on the carpet, Monty (dog) went to eat it OH shouted "no" so Monty did the next best thing and rolled in it.:mad::mad: So I am back after cleaning the carpet, bathing the dog, cuddling the cat and glaring at OH for making half hearted atttempt to help with the carpet(and watch football). He will however clean up the bathroom ....or else..... ah pets they bring such joy into our lives:)

Oh no, I did have to smile though as I think incidents like this only happen in our house (I have to clear up after a cat and 3 messy males!). I hope your OH is busy cleaning up the bathroom.

Twinkle, thank you for the tip about vapour rub. A friend of mine told me to do the same, I thought she was mad :o but it is obviously a trusted remedy x

I am jealous of you ladies going to the show, have a wonderful time :)

I really should do the ironing but I am going to leave it, make a start on the dinner and then read a couple of chapters of my latest book if my house will allow. I'm reading The Girl Who Chased The Moon and am loving it, thoroughly recommend ;)

Anyone got any links for ideas of how to do writing/wording on cards? Don't like the writing I put on this birthday card...

Scattyjan.. thats my challenge entry on tinternet

Rebekahr... I just type mine in word, then cut out, mount onto backing card and put onto card with dst or 3d foam. That means I can choose the style of font I think suits the card HTH

Sorry Twinkle I won't be able to get bargain info to you as we are staying down after the show and won't have internet access till we get home.

I don't think I noticed the chashew man last time but will be looking out for him as I love nuts.

    Hello all :j

Thanks for the tip about vic and socks.............lol Made note of that just in case.

Started sorting out last years old christmas cards this morning and cutting bits off I can re-use. Would have got loads done now I've made a start but had to stop when locksmith came............our lad locked the front door last night with a bit too much brute force I think and it wouldn't open:eek:
Locksmith called (no extra weekend charge as he lives local) but still was £79  But at least the door now open and shuts and locks................lol:)
I'll go back to christmas cards tomorrow maybe:)
I know its early but if I don't make a start I'll get in a right pickle later on.
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Afternoon ladies,I have been trying to update my...am I allowed to name the place ?:rotfl:
Having looked at so many on here which are fab :T I'm inspired to do more-'promise.
    Two questions
1,I have been able to add a couple of buttons from other places but these had written codes which I copied and pasted but I can't do the MSE which let's face it is one of the most important. So step by step (idiot proof)instructions would be soo welcome.
2,any tips on adding ribbon to cards ? which ever way I do it ,it always ends up bulky or looking "stuck on"
The clock's ticking for me as we're allotmenteers mostly so this grotty weather has given me lot's of delicious time for cardmaking but it's warming up and the sun keeps showing his face so I'm crafting on borrowed time:shhh:
ps thankyou for this wonderful thread I don't often contribute but read it regularly and learn loads.:)
