You and I both!!! It would have been a nightmare for us if they'd had to come back home!! My mum would have been miserable the whole of Christmas!!!!

Hello all, I managed to get to Tesco today, the main roads weren't bad at all. We are supposed to be in for more snow tonight so I bought enough to get us past Xmas amd I'm with Thrifty, if we don't have it, we go without ;)

I delivered my Xmas orders today too, came home with £59 so I was happy, happy, happy :D

Flourgirl, that's awful news about your boiler :( Fingers crossed it gets sorted tomorrow. Your tea sounds lush. My boys made mince pies this afternoon and I've just munches one with a cuppa, very nice too. I think they taste nicer the closer you are to Xmas ;) What is Rose Crust pastry?

PepPop, don't stress, it's a time for fun and laughter :) Write yourself a to do list and cross things off as they get done and I'm with Padster, cards easily go missing in the post ;):o

Me and the monkeys were going out tomorrow but with more snow coming I don't fancy it so instead we're going to stay in and have a slob day or rather they are going to have a slob day and I am going to do cleaning and ironing. Trying to get as much done as possible so I can have a proper break for a few days over Xmas.

I haven't made a card for ages, seem to have lost my mojo a bit, I've started to read a Jodi Picoult book called House Rules and loving it so that's getting my attention in the evenings rather than crafting. Haven't read anything by her before but have friends who have read everything she's written, which is a lot of books I think.

Take care and stay safe everyone xxx

Ds1 has been off school since friday so i'm not getting much done in the day. At least i made hubby's xmas card today as i always forget him oops!
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
Want to be fit for 30 not fat at 30
    but i want never gets!!!
  • Flourgirl Did you have strawberry Gaviscon? that could be the fruit option of your 5 a day :rotfl::rotfl:.

Weather forecast has changed here for tomorrow and now says heavy snow  although it said that Sunday and we had 5 flakes. I must get to the butchers on Thursday to pick the duck and my contact lenses up (they are right next door to each other I don't go the butchers to get my eyes sorted although......................)

After that can manage out of the freezer if we can't get out. Last day of school tomorrow and she has to be there for 8 - but at least it's supposed to be warmer in the morning only -2 :p

Am going in the bath to try and get warm and try not collapse under the weight of the new Jilly Cooper. Have read a couple of Jodi Picoults Rainmac she has written loads but if I'm honest I didn't really like them - (puts on best Glasgee accent) there's nae murrrderrrs :rotfl::rotfl:

Ah ha, there's a wee murrrderrr in this one! Not got to that bit yet but one of the main characters is heavily into forensic stuff and is fascinated with crime, it then looks like someone gets killed and he is the prime suspect. The character has Aspergers, I so hope it wasn't him who did the murrrderrr. His mum is an agony aunt for a newspaper and his brother hates the fact that his life is dominated and dictated by his brother. I wasn't sure if I'd like it, but I really do, it's well written.

OAP - we are with BT and have always been with them (similar reasons to flourgirl, DH and my brother used to work for them!) so I can't offer a comparison. We are on our 3rd router but have had no serious problems. We use their Vision TV system too as DH wont consider Sky.

Flourgirl - hope you get your heating fixed tomorrow, I'm shivering at the mere thought of -11. Never heard of rose crust pastry??

We aren't ready for Christmas either - still need to get some presents and food shopping - think I've gone beyond panic but luckily no children will suffer because of it which is the main thing.

rainmac - hope your mojo comes back soon - maybe when you are more relaxed after Christmas?? Well Done on your sold orders :j

It takes all my time to keep up reading on here never mind books but I hope to find some time to read over the holidays.

Our neighbours finally got home today from Japan (minus their luggage) having spent 3 days stuck in Paris queuing for flights because of the snow there. Apparently there were scuffles and even arrests because of queue jumping:eek:

Please take care anyone travelling on the nasty snowy roads.

I read that one not long ago and loved it. It's worth a read if you like crime gubbins too as it's a fascinating look at the legal processes.

I'm blaming the snow for anything that goes walkabout too :D Like the cards I only posted yesterday (Sssshhhhh ;) )

I spent ages last night trying to sort out my stash, but I have a bit of work to do on it this morning as well. I am also trying to get a box together of things that I can sell on Ebay. I know I'm getting a Bug for Crimble, but want to get some Nesties and can't afford them unless I have an Ebay clearout in the New Year. Luckily I have some stuff I can sell, including Promarkers which I got as a subscription gift from a magazine but then realised I had most of the colours :rotfl::rotfl: I have also put together a mixed bag of crafts which I'm hoping to sell on my local Gumtree. Those Nesties will be mine!!!

I'm hoping to get some cards done today once I have tidied up the stash. We'll see how it goes though - Mr Fresian appears to have thoughtfully given me his cold and I'm not feeling 100%....

Flying Fresian - Have you thought about posting your stuff on Crafty Place first, If anyone wants it it will save you on the fees?

Still cold here but I've checked the weather forecast for Christmas Day and it's to be sunny :j:j MIL might be able to make it now :j:j

I've decided not to panic - I'm just gonna be glad when Christmas morning comes, I was up till 2am last night trying to get stuff finished. Tonight is the food shop, last of the Christmas pressie, wrapping and finishing off an order that I need for tomorrow (I'm not panicking! I'm not panicking!)

Rainmac That's was fantastic! What a brilliant amount you made - you go girl!!!

    Stay safe and warm. Hugs
