marg - I love having a nosy in peoples homes lol, but some people oh my!!! I just couldnt be mean to someone on telly though - did you watch it - I loved Mika's little hand made bits and pieces so cute I hoped she would win she seemed the most genuine.
flourgirl - glad you are getting some warmth. Thanks for the recipe - looks quite easy might have to have a go and make my own mince pies - instead of sprinkling a bit of icing sugar on Mr K's and taking the credit for them - cough!0 -
Afternoon - still very cold and I can't get myself moving today!! Need to do lots of things but not getting them done!!
Jowri - great news for you and your family. So glad you had this lovely news before Christmas as it's the best present you could receive.
Scatty - well done on your DT position, not sure where you are going to find the time mind you!!!!!!
Flourgirl - thanks for the recipe - I didn't know there was a recipe section on Crafty Place until you said!!!!The E-mail of the species is more deadly than the mail.0 -
ooooo its great to be warm and toastie again. Just hope we dont have another power cut. We are keeping the heater on in the loft overnioght tonight just to makle sure everything has defrosted.. We have so much insulation in the loft and on the pipes that the warmth cannot get through to stop them freezing apparently (shruggy shoulders) So ther money we have saved on keeping the bills down has just gone to the heating engineer!!
Its warmed up outside here to -1* although we have had a slight covering of snow, I just nipped to the dustbin and slipped on the bl**dy stuff cos its icy underneath
Managed to get some presents delivered out of the way and brought back more than I took!!! so not really any further forward with the tidying lol. Willow is coming tonight until we take her home on Christmas Eve teatime when we go for tea so we might start to get a bit excited about Christmas. Think we are turning into grumpy old so and so's lol
Marg Thankyou so much for your lovely email, I hope you have a lovely Christmas and a peaceful New Year xx
Love those Prima flowers but a tad too expensive for me, I'm a cheapskate
Jowri Brilliant news about your OH
Anyone making the pastry might just get 12-15 mince pies the ones I made were quite small and I like thin pastry.0 -
I received a Christmas cheque today for £30 from one of my aunts
Nesties here I come!!!
I would love circle ones, and can now afford another set. What would people recommend and where's the best place to buy them? Should I get the large or the small circle nesties?
Woo! :j0 -
ooh marg we watched that yesterday it was fab. My oh said i'm a snob i loved 3 of the houses but one i thought was ghastly . When that lady said tinsel was tacky my oh fell about laughing cos i say that . I hate the stuff . My sister uses miles and miles of the stuff in all different colours. shudder.
I hated the one with all the lights and the toys i don't mind seeing a few but there were just far too many for my liking . Each to their own though and i wouldn't have been quite so rude about them on tv lol.
I loved all the handmade stuff mika made and i thought they were all horrible to her .Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20
