Rusty was it some stamps and some vellum? if so yes thankyou I wondered who it was from :o

I''ve posted my secret santa parcel off last week but it wasn't to any of the ladies asking
  • Afternoon - managed to get abit more done on my list today!!! Just came in from filling up the birds feeders and water, first time I've been out for 2 days!!!

flourgirl - omg what a nightmare you are having with pipes and heating. Hope it's all sorted out now. Thank goodness it didn't drip onto your laptop or any electricity wires as your whole place could have been without power.

kms - just got a card from you. Thank you so much, really lovely of you to think of me, sorry I didn't post any to anybody as explained in my previous post!!

I just placed a small order with imag-e-nation for some more of the Flippin Men clear stamp sets. I used one last night and they stamp beautifully - I had 4 sets already and just ordered another 3 so I have loads of stamps for men cards now - they are an absolute bargain at £1 a set instead of £9. I just saw the same ones on another site for the full price!!! Still a few left with free second class postage if anyone wants any.

Rusty I have just emailed you :) What a shame Nan didn't manage to see her special card, bet she is looking down at it today though. Such sad news for your family xx

We had a nightmare last night about 10.30 till after midnight...... burst pipe in the loft:eek::eek: we were sat watching tv and heard a plopping noise, it was water dripping through the ceiling onto the dining table just missing my laptop but catching DHs phone. The loft insulation was sopping wet and what a mess we had to remove it and chuck it outside. DH was putting new joints on the pipe about midnight  this morning it looks ok and is drying out, the walls are a bit streaky and look a mess but nothing we cant fix with a bit of emulsion. We had the heater on in the loft all night  So I will be on a stash diet for January to pay the electric bill lol.

Sorry to hear some of you are still waiting for parcels to arrive, I posted something to Plymouth in November and it still hasn't arrived:mad: Yet I bought DH a new GPS (for flying) and that only took a couple of days, (shruggy smilie).

Don't know if I will have time to post again so if not I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and stay warm and safe xxx

    :santa2: :xmassign::xmastree:

Oh no how awful!! Just what you need before christmas!!! How did it burst? through the cold or something? OH has out heating set to come on when the temperature in the loft drops below 4 degrees so if we are already warm and then the heating comes on we have to open windows and stuff to cool down, but stops the pipes from freezing!

Sorry I was in a rush and forgot to put a note in :o glad it arrived. :) have a wonderful christmas to you all! xxx

I am fuming. My mum has posted something on facebook and I thought she was spending christmas on the canal boat which my stepdad owns. She said they wanted to spend it alone together as it would be hard for my step dad having lost his dad only a few months ago, so she wouldn't be coming to us like we had asked her to. Which is fine, but now she has invited my sister and hubby to the boat for christmas day tea!!! I am so annoyed!!! Am I over reacting or what? I sent her a text telling her I aint happy, bet she tries to call me soon!! I am so angry :(
You would think that after 28 years of learning that my sister is the best child that it wouldn't hurt and upset me quite so much!! but no it still does!

Sometimes Rusty I think Christmas brings out the worst in families!! This year will be the first year for 49 years I wont have seen my sister :( About 6 weeks ago her and her hubby and kids decided they didn't want anything to do with any of us including our parents, she wont answer my textsd and has removed us all from facebook!! Ah well, her loss. I'm sure you will still enjoy your Christmas and don't waste your emotions it was probably a last minute decision for her.

Love Wifey's new book. Thats a brilliant photo lol

Thanks for the reminder about that site. I've ordered 5 sets of those stamps as for that price they're worth a shot :D

Ah Rusty thats awful I would feel the same, my Mum is like that with my sister too not that I've spoken to her since before Shannon was born her choice I might add she will walk past me in the street and not say a word. Try not to let it spoil your Christmas.

    Look, Wifey's in print ;)

Rusty, don't let it ruin things for your Christmas, some times people don't think at all :(. You'll have a lovely Christmas with your kiddies and OH xxx

Flourgirl, oh no, terrible news about the pipe :(, glad you got it fixed, your OH is very handy ;)

Managed to get to my friends today to swap presents and have cleaned the oven this afternoon and wrapped OH's pressies. Pretty much all ready now I think :)

  • A quick question: has anyone got any alphabet dies they would recommend? I would like to put just a name on a card, so it would need to be fairly large. There seems to be so many different fonts available. I have the Big Shot, if that helps.

    Merry Christmas to you all

I only have Sizzix Wallflower and Cuttlebug Babyface and both are fairly small. It depends how big you want really. I love the Babyface one as it had loads of other bits with it and you can have the capital letters inside a circle if you want. I picked this up on ebay for £6!! It's not fancy lettering though!!
