Hi everyone!! Just wanted to pop on and wish you all a very merry christmas!!! Sorry been soooo rubbish really not been well with Fibro plus had the labrynthitis back the last couple of weeks - fell over 3 times yesterday and hadn't even had a drink and wasn't in the snow!!
Received my Secret Santa parcel which is firmly under the tree so thankyou 'Secret Santa'!! Posted mine last week so hope the recipient has received it by now!!
Feeling quite fearful that this pesky snow is gonna mess up our xmas plans - we're mean't to be flying to my parents in Spain on Thurs from Gatwick!! Got quite panicky yesterday thinking if we get stuck here we have no xmas dinner!!! Checked the freezer and there is a chicken, aunt bessie roast potatoes & yorkshire puds and yesterday we got some frozen veg and parsnips just in case - hope we don't have to use them!!! Snow snow stay away til we've gone pleeeeeese!!! Don't mind getting snowed out of the uk but don't want to get snowed in! lol!
Take care everyone & hope you all have a fab crimbo - hopefully I'll be back to posting more in the new year - haven't even made any crimbo cards this year - decided not to stress!! TTFN xxx0 -
Happy Birthday Wishfulcomper :bdaycake:
Happy belated birthday Popkins:bdaycake:
Have a fab holiday Mad Frog and a lovely warm Christmas
Bunbun Glad you had a nice quiet birthday. If in doubt about travelling its not worth the stress, you an always look forward to having a belated Christmas meal with your family. Didn't that happen last year?
Rusty Congratulations on your published post :T Fabulous idea
Rainmac what a shame another of your Christmas activities has had to be cancelled. We are so not used to having such cold and snowy weather around Christmas. Stay safe and warm.
TomsMom I saw on the news just how bad your weather is at the moment, I do hope your DH managed to get home safely for Christmas.
Melissa its fab to see you back. Huge Congratulations on your little pink bundle xx
Welcome to all our newbies too
Its been freezing here today, -10 this morning and we have had no electricity from 8-30 - 3-45pm  Our friends from down the road rang and asked if we wanted to go out to lunchso we went for a lovely carvery and then back here for a flask of coffee
This morning we had a walk on the nature reserve about 2 miles from our house, it was sooo beautiful, just like a real winter wonderland. So we had worked up a healthy appetite for our lunch.
Has anyone got a Wii Fit and how good are they. I was thinking it might be a good idea for after Christmas to help shed some weight0 -
Waves at Melissa - knew I'd missed some other stuff.
Hope you get away ok Popkins - the airports on the news look dreadful
Bunbun If you're gonna be worrying all the way there then is it really worth it - if you can get onto the travel page on the BBC you can see where all the problems are - I know people were getting stuck for hours on both the M1 and the A1 would take you long enough on a normal day plus am sure your parents would understand.
Flourgirl OH could have waved this morning as he had to come past yours to get to work as the M18 was shut - only took him 1 1/2 instead of 50 mins - was -11 here this morning so I haven't been far.
Contact lenses have finally made it as far as the opticians - told them I would pick them up - I can see for xmas :T:rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Dragon are you ok? and anyone else down there - looked horrendous on the news
OMG I hate snow it took me and hour and half to get to work normally takes 10 mins decided not to risk driving and went on the bus, the bus in front of us skidded down the hill and crashed.
Well done on winning the friday freebie I used my voucher from last week yesterday so lots of lovely ribbons on their way to me. Which nellie dies did you buy I treated myself to the new round doily ones the other day.0 -

Oh no fancy having to watch that happen - I would have been having kittens:eek:
I got the round doily ones, the heart ones and the lace edge borders as well as nesties labels 9 and a lattice embossing folder.
I've just looked on the crafty ribbons site and have no idea how I'm gonna choose although I already have loads of ribbon and hardly ever use it - best start me thinks :rotfl:Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended

Sounds like everyone's having a right nightmare with the snow. It snowed here on Friday and Saturday morning and there's still loads of the stuff about. Luckily we did our shopping on Friday so we're okay for supplies! We're meant to be travelling down to my Mum's on xmas eve so I hope the roads will be better by then. Its the first xmas that I've spent with my family in 7 years and I'm really looking forward to it! I'll be gutted if the weather stops us from going, plus my Mum took the kids presents back with her last time she visited, I left a few here to open when we get back but the kids wont be too happy if that's all they get!
I'm feeling particularly smug today as I finally managed to sort through all my ribbons - they're all stored nicely away now - hopefully this will prompt me to make something!
Lizalloareds - I hope you're feeling a bit better!
Wishfulcomper - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!0 -
