I've posted a couple of the last-minute Christmas cards I've made today. They're in my usual corner of the internet.

I'm making dinner at the moment, but after that I'm going to be searching on Youtube for hints and tips for Cuttlebugging - I'm getting one from Santa in the New Year when the roads from my folks house have thawed :D
  • Fresian you should go check out ikkis cuttlebug cupboard. Its full of useful hints. Would post a link but I'm on my phone as my laptop is playing up lol.

Went to see the village xmas tree lights turned on this afternoon and as we were stood outside singing carols it started snowing. Very christmassy:D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p

Flying Fresian - Here is the link Padster was talking about - what this lady doesn't know about Cuttlebugs 'ain't worth knowing.

I'm watching the Sports Personality Show (despite having loads to do!) as I believe the hero of BFC is up for an award.

Oh PepPop - sorry to hear that, I agree it would seem really unfair if they don't keep him on because of the heavy weights, and everyone has cranes and carriers to do it. I couldn't even lift 10 kg let alone 100.

    Fingers crossed for him though.

Breathing a huge sigh of relief. He went in on Friday and spoke to some other people and a supervisor and all his worries and fears have been resolved. They'll give him plenty of time to learn everything - they've said it can take up to a year to learn it all. They don't expect him to be able to lift it all - in fact they don't want him to just now because it's far too dangerous and if he never can then so be it. They've said he's doing really well and it's a job for life if he wants it and doesn't do anything stupid in his 3 month probationary period. Thanks for letting me get it off my chest on Friday.

Great challenge Artydoll - I get my thinking cap on.

Marg Sorry to hear about your MIL going back into hospital. I hope she gets better soon. I'll Sky+ your NephewInLaw's program

Ooh meant to say my secret santa pressie arrived yesterday morning - Thankyou Scatty - the pressies are out of the cats' reach and the card is on display - Love it!!

Rainmac you're not having much luck with Santa visits this year. At least the real one always makes it through. Maybe he should rent out his reindeer to the rest of us. :)

Loubylou I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. That must have been a terrible shock especially as he was so young. Sending you huge hugs.

Liz Ouch - that's a ridiculous amount to have to pay - who were they seeing at the SECC?

Welcome back FlyingFresian - missed you.

MadFrog Hope you have a lovely holiday and fly out ok. I've just read where you're going and sighed - any room for a last minute stowaway... It sounds amazing - have a wonderful time.

I'm supposed to be making cards today but I done nothing but faff over papers. I mean it shouldn't be that difficult to pick blue papers for a baby boy card but I've been umming and ahhing for hours!!!! Could someone please give me a kick in the whotsit please?!
  • Just a quickie from me, Gatwick is open :j

Helloooooooooooo, me again! Not been anywhere, just stuck in the house feeling all lonely :(. Been talking to OH every day and he's fed up as there was no-one else stuck at the hospital over the weekend, everyone else either lived closer or had a 4 x 4 to get home in. Never mind, he was safe and warm. Hope he can get home for Christmas.

We've not had any more snow but it's soooooooo cold. I put some fresh water out for the birds this morning while I was putting their food out and it froze over very quickly. Underfoot is absolutely treacherous, coupled with the fact that some children were sledging down the slope outside our house yesterday so I can't get out that way. Didn't even put the bins out last night. Pavements and roads still bad so I have orders not to go out, just stay put and d-i-l will fetch me any necessities. We have an Asda order coming, supposedly, tomorrow or Wednesday, I hope they can get through.

MadFrog I hope I'm in time to wish you a lovely holiday, enjoy the better weather.

Glad your OH got that sorted, hope all goes well for him.

Marg So sorry about your m-i-l having to go back into hospital.

Louby So very sad about your friend, that is too young, such a shame.

Wishful Comper If you're around today
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY :bdaycake:
    Hope my card got through.

We haven't seen the postman for 4 days, so few Christmas cards have arrived compared to normal and I know some have definitely been posted. Gosh, this snow has caused some problems one way or another!

    Welcome Jinksy and Shell :hello:

I'm way behind with blogs again, not sure what I'm doing to fill the days up considering I'm stuck in. I did manage to get the Christmas pressies wrapped up over the weekend. Will try and catch up with blogs again soon.

I'm sure to have missed something out so hugs to all, keep safe and warm.

Oh Tomsmom, sorry you are fed up and I have everything crossed for your OH being home for Christmas xxx

PepPop, that's great news, I am so pleased for you and Mr PepPop :D

Our Rusty has been published on the Meljen's blog :j :j :j, go have a look ;)

We're not going to go to Cadbury World tomorrow, roads are just so bad :( Having a day at home today, got boring washing, ironing, general cleaning to do. Going to pop on a Xmasy film later and make some hot chocolate, just the kind of day for it I think ;)
 If you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain
