    Hello all.

Rainmac - Sounds like you are very busy with your school fair

    Well done winner

Tomsmom - Hope your oh's treatment goes well. Glad he gets a bit of time off at christmas!

There seems to be alot more snow everywhere else than here. Its very cold though and icy. The kids are still getting to school, which is great (they dont think so though!)

Hope everyone is managing with all the snow and ice. Hugs to everyone. xx

Well done to our winner :)

I hope all who have had to turn out to work this morning have done so safely.

Rainmac I don't know how bad your weather is but I really hope you get a good turn out for your Christmas fayre after all the time and effort you have put in. The PTA at Willows school this year don't seem interested in trying to raise funds. When I asked if they were having a Christmas Fayre the reply was, no we can't be bothered!!! Fat lot of use they are. I very nearly said I would join them in September, I'm so glad I didn't it would have been like banging my head on a brick wall, they shouldn't volunteer for these fund raising comittees if they can't be bothered!!! I take my hat off to you for taking the responsibility to raise funds for your pre-school xx

Marg it was the conservatory windows that had a layer of ice on them, even with the heating on its just about 1* in there. DH checked with the airport weather and it was reporting -14 at 8am this morning and round about -8 now!! Looks set to be very cold again tonight :(

We have been for a walk to get some bird food from our friends (they sell it) just down the road, at least we have had a bit of fresh air. Next door but one have cleared their drive onto the footpath so that there are 2 x3foot walls blocking the way!! Bl**dy idiots!!

Mmmmm Curry sounds just the job for today, followed by Wifeys DH's cake. We are having Pork Casserole and a spicy fruit loaf which is in the breadmaker now. Never made one before so will be interesting to see how it turns out. Might just be for the birds lol

I think OH is being a bit of a Marie-Antoinette, let Wifey eat cake!

That's no problem I'll live on cake :D

Tomsmom That must have been a traumatic day for you OH - I think I would have been very claustrophobic. it's a pity his treatment will have to continue up to Hogmany too but at least he'll be finished for the New Year beginning.

Liz Have you checked your sparkplugs or your coils - it might be them if it's starting OK.

    Congratulations to the winner

Yumm flourgirl spicy fruit loaf sounds delicious - if it tastes as good as sounds can you pass on the recipe please?

I've just been to do my pay day fill the car up but because they've said on the radio that people were panic buying petrol guess what - people are now panic buying!!
  • Oooh well done winner.

Its still cold here despite the sun being out. Think its going to take a while to melt the 14 inches of snow that fell over Tuesday night/ Wednesday and a tiny bit of Thursday. No snow yet today though :) Well no extra snow lol... Car is still sat in the garage and it will until i can at least see some of the road again. Buses wont even come anywhere near here after 4pm. I sent OH to asda and iceland yesterday so we are fully stocked up. But with the schools still being closed we seem to be getting through alot more snacks. So may join wifeys OH and make some cakes ;)

Im going to attempt a christmas clean up today then i can put the tree up.. But that means i have to put lots of craft stuff away. So might have to make myself an emergency craft crate so i can keep it at hand to satisfy my crafting needs :)

Hope everyone is keeping warm sending hugs to everyone.

Think its chineese for us tonight ;)
