Does anyone have any tips to tie bows? You all have lovely ones on your cards and I'm going insane trying to get mine nice and neat.

Liz, hope things pick up soon for your hubby

Dragonllew glad your both back safe and well

PepPop I had to get the bow easy template, I can't tie bows to save my life

No more snow forecast after today, freezing temperatures though, and will warm up on Sunday so will probably be lots of floods :p

Still can't get my car out of the drive, annoying as the roads are fairly clear, we are going to try and dig it out tomorrow as it's a pain getting the bus to the station, wasn't a good MSE'r this morning and got a taxi home from the station as the snow was bucketing down.

    Stay warm everyone

PepPop, have a look at this on ebay for a wooden bow maker, it's just a small plank of wood with dowels that you fit in different holes to make diferent size bows. The Glitter Girls do one here

This one on ebay has free ribbon too and extra long dowels so that you can use wider wire edge ribbon, might get one of these meself cos my bow easy isn't big enough for the extra wide stuff.

Guess what........ I've just had a little cat nap and woke up to tea and cake made by my OH, yes........ he made me my very own cake to dive into, just a little fruit cake number from the Bero flour book but he made it, the fruit didn't sink either. He's so pleased with himself that he's knocking up a lemon drizzle cake now.

I still want a new wedding ring though, dear heart! :D
 Be the kind of woman that when your feet hit the ground each morning the devil says, "OH CARP, SHE'S UP"!

  • Evening! Still more snow here today - we had a mini avalanche when it all decided to drop off DD's bedroom roof earlier but it has about another 2 inches on now and it's still coming down in heaps. Bored with it now and need to get out before I go mad

No school for DD again today or tomorrow and I have to ring the head of service in the morning to explain my reasons for not getting in and have been warned I will have to justify what work I will be doing from home as my duties are to take calls in the office tomorrow  Can't be faffed to argue but she needn't think I'm going to be taking it as leave she can faff about and deduct my pay. Sorry for moaning it's like working for colditz. They got 3 people to walk in to take calls for 8 to finish at 4:30 when everyone else in the council (including the people who see customers face to face in our "team") were starting at 10 and finishing at 3.

Anyhoo going to craft this evening once I've washed up - might get my wellies out and wander to village shop in the morning they might at least have chocolate :D
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • PS I've got one of those bow makers that wifey linked to and does a great job :p
