Hi - please forgive me if this has been answered before, but is there work for someone who is just available in the evening and at the weekend please?

If so, do particular companies have more work than others at those times?

    Any advice welcomed.

    Hi Jacey,

Welcome to the board. Try signing up with RE and Gap as they both have assignments which can be done in the evening and weekend. GFK is another company I recommend as they have a few jobs which can be done on a weekend.

I LOVE all the GR supermarket jobs. I have been living in supermarket car parks for quite some time: I move around a bit to take advantage of the rotations. I changed one of my postcodes to a police station a while back, and that seemed to give me loads of work. I wish I understood why: the police station in question seemed a bit out of the way (I did it on a whim when one of my previously good postcodes stopped delivering the goods).

P.S. Why am I going to Haverhill tomorrow?? What's wrong with all you lazy lot in Suffolk???:rotfl::rotfl:

Thanks for going to Haverhill! Enjoy the film!

I can see her point of view as well, don't get me wrong.
But I can also see (and agree with slightly more because it was the way i felt) the point of view that it's so frustrating to know that the jobs are out there that we are so close to you, and you are more than capable of doing it and fit the profile etc, but you don't see the job!
Also, as they have quite a few clients which tend to be in out of town parks, it's harder to get the postcodes right for them, whereas it's easy to pick a random place in a high street or shopping centre etc.

And we are still abiding by the rules of not mentioning client names in public on here.

Anyway, there must be other MS news going on out there other than GR Clients GR Clients, GR clients!!! :D

I got my Gap timer in the post today. And my only comment really has to be :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D

Back to GR. You have 5 postcode options. I'm sure everyone on here checks out the alerts. Say there is an alert for a travel agent. Put 2 and 2 together. Play around with the postcodes for travel agents. Yes, the jobs may not appear straight away but wait until the next round of TA releases. Same with supermarkets. Enter the postcode of your local one. This does not apply to everyone but there seem to be some people who want everything handed to them on a plate and therefore request a PM with a list of clients. Unless I was a manager and could therefore delegate my work, I would not dream of asking my colleague to do my work for me. Could you imagine a doctor in a hospital asking some random person to perform an operation for him because he couldn't be ar**d.
Yes the GR way of showing jobs to their shoppers is not the best and is flawed in my opinion. However, until the day comes where they decide to allow their shoppers to increase their number of postcodes, we'll have to make the best of it.

That's definately a good idea. And something that I had tried but still never got anywhere with it. Hence why I asked.

But I think that's a bit different to the situation you outlined with regards to the doctor!
It's not so much as asking for everything handed to you on a plate, more just trying to get around the flawed allocation system. People don't ask for lists of clients for which jobs become visible based on the radius you specify around a specific location, because there's no need.
It's almost the opposite to having things handed to us on a plate - after all, the more jobs we accept, the more work we will have to do :)

Best service you receive CONSISTENTLY at stores you MS.No one offs here,it has to be the culture.

I will start the ball rolling with 2 contenders.

Abai hardware store -It used to be the Marie Celeste of the high st,no staff, long queues, slab faced witches on the tills and generally crap. Not any more.Loads of staff who are all friendly and helpful,no queues and Garibaldi biscuits at 2 4 98p!!

R.E. Posh Sandwiches - How to get it right every time.I have never had a bad visit here and would kill for a jalapeno chicken wrap right now.The posh people pay a premium for the right people to work there and I think it shows. :T:T

Bring it on guys,my faves cannot be beaten!!

Abai dept. store cafes - every one I've visited the service has been impeccable, unfortunately I can't say the same for the food :(

Everywhere else I've had good visits, bad visits and mediocre visits... It varies so much, for example my local RE sports shop is fantastic - friendly, attentive and really helpful.... Next town along they're rude, can't be bothered, everythings an effort... It's really difficult to draw generalisations from a lot of the experiences when there's so many differences! :)

Agree with you on that. They have 3 RE posh sandwiches in the same town near me. 2 have perfect staff and gorgeous food, the other 1 just has gorgeous food, and the staff ... well let's not go there shall we.

I also find the staff at TNS coffee shops friendly and genuine, and the shops are always clean and tidy.

In general, I can't stand staff in jewellery shops. Just because they sell items that are worth a lot does not mean they are all posh and glam and what not. They normally treat customers like dirt!
