Amazing RE have an assignment where a product we need to ask about is actually something I was planning to buy.....can I go die of shock now?
It’s not worth doing something unless someone, somewhere, would much rather you weren’t doing it.

  • Hi
Yes, Buy what you want up to the allocation they give you. KEEP THE RECEIPT then you get the money back for the hamster food and keep the food!

Thanks! I just thought i'd check!
  • Hi Guys

Just a quick question - I've got my first MS assignment next week and its asking me to make a purchase and i'll be reimbursed - Does this mean I can just keep the purchase? So for example if I am asked to buy a purchase of my choice at a pet shop does that mean I can buy my hamster food and get reimbursed for it?

Sorry if it seems a daft question - just don't want to do anythign wrong!

Not wishing to complicate matters as for the pet store you refer to you will be able to keep the item but some MS companies refer to the reimbursement of a product that needs to be sent back to the MS company (it will probably be over £50 or so if this is the case tho)

I got a little giddy then, but you lied. it's up a third, not half!

Still can't be bothered with them lol, think i'm time barred from one anyway.

OMG. They have gone up by a half. I just worked it out. LOL. Anyway, I don't think anyone is going to pick them to be honest. I'm waiting for a call off that guy asking me if I wanna do them. No one seems to be touching the pharmacies either. Oh dear. Not good is it.

Although ESA have a fairly good rap, i must admit, that for the work involved i don't see them as very well paid. Everyone hates RE, but i would far prefer to do a RE call for a £1 more than i would do an ESA travel agent.

    Maybe just me!
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

lol!! thanks for the quick response!

Im so wary these days of people asking me for bank details (especially when its been sent via an email that takes you to the site!!)

have filled it in now so fingers crossed I will get some mystery shopping under my belt!!

Not sure if its any use to you, but thought i'd share what I have done! For any MS/Surveys/Cashback etc, or all internet shopping, I opened a second account, next to my original for easy transfer.

It stands alone as an account, with a bank card and everything, but is with the same bank as my original current account so when I internet bank they are all in the same place. I call it my internet account, and any companies that require bank details I give them those. I always transfer money from that account into my original, so it is always at zero balance. That way if they decided to use any of my details to try and steal money, the account is empty and im safe!

Might be something worth thinking about if you are really concerned with the safety :) Good luck with it all!

Gap asked me if wanted to do coffee. Do I? The hanging around for 10 mins is such an 'MS' giveaway! Don't you just feel like a total prat? I like the coffee though.

GFK - any idea how high they go when desperate? Had them call a couple of times recently for jobs I couldn't fit in anyway. But nosey as in how high they can go.

Also had an RE ticket for a very clearly explained answer. Wonder if the proof readers have to query a certain percentage.

I'm not overly keen on ESA. They make you work like a dog and give you small fees. The pharmacy visit is like 4 in 1 and the fee is pants. I know a lot of people diss RE. If it was not for the brattish proof readers, I would not have a problem with them. The visits are varied and the fees are OKish, but I tend to use RE only as fillers. I'm quite keen on GFK, the fees are good and the visits are simple.
