How come? I think they're fairly easy there's hardly any comment boxes it's mainly just yes/no questions?

Two hours. Two whole hours. Thats how long it took me to do an RE hotel report. I wouldn't have minded quite so much but I've got 7 car reports to do. And a business breakfast tomorrow, followed by a bare computer, RE bookshop and 6 pawnbrokers, spread over 3 towns. And i need to be finished in time to go to an engagement party tomorrow night.

Note to self: never try and cram a week's worth of work into 3 days. Still, at least the hotel was nice, and it saved me 2 hours driving.
  • I have all sorts of weird and wounderful things popping up on RE if people wanna look :j
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Depending on who the cars are with they'll probably give you over the weekend to get the reports in if you ask them nicely. I've done it before when I've had loads at once :)

I did sixteen cars last week and ten this week. I'm even sick of the smell of new cars now but not as sick as I am of pressure selling... Got a couple tomorrow then that's it woohoo :D

Bank manager will like it but my sanity hasn't!

Well I went way out of my way to do one of them, and they did offer a longer fieldwork period, so I'm hoping the email I sent earlier will have the desired effect. I haven't got into a single car, but I'm equally sick of the pressure sell.

You must be doing some mileage to do that many!

I've started using the partner excuse to get out of it... "oh I'll talk to my partner tonight and get back to you" :) works like a charm every time lol.

Yeah I've definitely done a fair few miles, wouldn't seem so bad if the clubcard points hadn't just halved :) the way I'm going I'll need a new car I'll have worn mine out!!

Think that's it for me and cars for this year now, I can only handle so many of them before I think "urgh not another car" :)

Oh and I used my real details in a couple just so I could go for a test drive. The brief said I could if desired and it broke the monotony of negotiation up a bit thrashing a brand new car about :D

There's so much to do on the actual shop...checking specific produce, checking CDs, DVDs, asking questions to a number of staff, going to different desks, checking the notice board!!

I had to go to the customer service desk and ask a question but the store had tills open there so there was a queue of customers waiting to pay for their shopping. I waited and ask my question but could not pay for my purchases as I had to use the main tills - I can tell you that looked odd!

I also found it difficult to read the name badges as the members of staff would turn quickly or it would be somehow be out of my view.

I won't sign up for anymore!

When you said quick supermarket I thought you meant the high street convenience type ones. The report for them is much quicker than the big stores.

Did you make the mistake many of us did on the first one and assess every department the store had? It tells you which departments need assessing after you access the work pack. I've done loads of these now and they only get easier with time honestly :) after my first one I said never again too!!
  • Oh and I find it easiest to do the customer services enquiry before or after the shopping part. Seems a bit more natural. I usually do the petrol station and cafe after the shop too but sometimes switch round and do them first.

I thought about it but there was a long queue when I arrived and I thought it would seem even stranger if I took the time to queue up to ask how much cash back I can get when most people would just ask the first member of staff they encountered.

I checked the spec before the shop so I knew which depts to go to, I still thought it was a lot!

I made notes before I left as there was no way I would be able to remember anything and covered 3 sides on an A5 pad! I had it out during the shop but it just looked like a shopping list. Staff didn't have a clue, they were so dismissive when I asked questions.
