Well done!!!
Hope healing goes uneventfully! Although with all that mucking about it should do!How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -

As a dentist you should know that making a poorly mouthed patient laugh out loud causes pain
HUH - looks like you lot love inflicting pain

It has limited use on exposed nerves Sue - other than that it's pretty useless, and can do harm.
Exposed live nerves are quite a rare cause of toothacheHow to find a dentist.

No heat? No oil of cloves? Thank goodness for the nurofen! Time for the next dose and roll on Saturday as pain is kicking in big time. :eek:Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Ibuprofen (Nurofen) can be combined with Paracetamol without doing any harm (Providing you can take them both OK).
Both are safe together up to the Max dose for each on the packet.
This could be bordering on medical advice though, although it is a general statement of fact, and I'm not actually advising anyone in particular to do it!How to find a dentist.

Plus you can go to your pharmacist and ask what's available that's stronger than either of these put together: there are OTC painkillers and they will check what else you're taking and warn you about overdosing.Toothsmith wrote:Ibuprofen (Nurofen) can be combined with Paracetamol without doing any harm (Providing you can take them both OK).

OMG - I'm still in pain

I ended up phoning the dentists yesterday & told them my mouth was still hurting and I was stil lwaling up in the night to take painkillers. They were really good and saw me last night.
I have a dry socket -
dont even know what it is really but I got one & it bl00dy hurts.
They rinsed my mouth 3 times in some stuff & then dressed the socket with a disolvable dressing. My husband says I smell like tcp :rotfl:
He didn't want to give me antibiotics as I've already had 2 lots but said to come back on Friday or monday if it was still hurting. Unfortunately my daughter is going into hospital on Sunday for 5 days so I wont get chance and when I explained that he was ever so good and gave me a prescription to make sure its cleared up by Sunday.
Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for me that all this 'orrible pain goes away. Ive had enough now
