well im sitting in my pjs trying to summon up the energy to shift my big fat butt!! feeling lazy but have a constant long list of jobs that never gets any shorter.

DD doing the pony today as she is off work so i have told her she has to sort or it wont get done (im a hard mother i know!), so something less for me to do.
Iam determined to get the bedroom finished this weekend even though i dont feel like doing a thing. i have one wall left to paint , then clean the room put the furniture back and find some bedding to remake the bed. This room has taken me a couple of weeks to do after work etc so i will be chuffed to see it done. Next project- downstairs loo, thought i would go for something easy and quick result- i have half a tin of cream emulsion i found in the shed so that will do, might get a cheap ornament or vase and dried flowers or something to go in there to make it look slightly different and maybe a small picture or even a photograph . The living room is desparate too so hopefully can do by christmas . At least furniture is good in there so nothing major.

going to have a peek and shake my damson gin later too, its turned a lovely deep red colour, it looked like mud for the first week and i thought i had spoilt it and wasted the ingredients.

will post my weeks to do list later, post up your meal plans etc when you have done them-i was going to do one too and could do with some new ideas

speak later desparate for a coffee..............fancy one?

  • did someone say cake........................if only, i did after all join weghtwatchers the other day , not that im doing very well so far because there were too many goodies in the house. DH is going to join me this week , so its going to be a joint effort until christmas.

Frosty here this morning so heating on , not very money saving but a very old draughty house in need of new windows. insulation in loft was done in the summer so that should help.

done the budget now up to mid December only a few more weeks to do now and i should know where i am til the end of the year......if i can stick to it .......going to be very tight. Decided that everyone i have to buy christmas gifts for outside this household will have to a limit of £10 each, DH and i have decided to do small gifts to each other (hes said this before and still got me stuff, so we will see what happens) and DS and DD going to have money and a couple of gifts to open. They will get between £50 and £100 cash depends on what i can save before then.
decided that i have got to save car insurance and road tax for february- but things are so tight i think i will only have enough cash for 6 months road tax but it all keeps me moving.
better move myself and get to work or there will be nothing to spend
    bye

Having a bad day:( ..these horses are nightmare these last few months...

.....spent the summer trying to cope with the new pony, GG2's worsening sweetitch, then GG1 goes lame and has to come home from the stud early, luckily only an abscess, but £100 vet fee! then she kicked the hell out of GG2, who had lots of blood on 2 legs, but wasn't lame, then a week later they all got ringworm (i'm still getting old fashioned looks even though the vet has given me the all clear).

Now tonight I noticed that the hind leg that was injured on GG2 is still swollen compared with the opposite leg and has a large hard lump crossing the cannon bone and splint bone. I'm feeling really guilty as thought it had gone down and healed and I had been paying more attention to the ringworm. She wasn't lame so I didn't call the vet. I've spent the evening looking up pictures of broken legs and splints on the internet:eek: ....looks like I have a choice ignore it as it doesn't appear to hurt and no lameness and worry constantly that its a fracture or going to get worse or have long term consequences...or spend yet more money on the vets for peace of mind for something that is probably just a splint and they can't do anyhting about anyway!

sorry rant over .....going to sleep now.....love them really....oh and GG3 has taken to attacking his new loaner's child.....i see tins of dog food in his future the way I feel right now!!!!!.... now TV off and time for ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

Had another look at it this morning.....it doesn't seem so bad after a nights sleep:o. Looks like a splint developing with some associated swelling. she doesn't mind me prodding it though and doesn't look noticeably lame so will wait and see for the time being. Just a shame as she had perfect legs :(! looks like she will live, but her international modelling career is over:rotfl:

Farrier got back to me after not turning up on Saturday. He had tried to contact me but I had left my mobile at work. Will rearrnge for next couple of weeks.

was allowed home yesterday afternoon to study for my exam ....got loads done:)

Will try and do budget and menu tonight.

  • sounds like you have been having a real bad day or two. dont worry things have a way of sorting themselves one way or another. keeping any animal is traumatic at times. still have our pony seems like noone is wanting to loan or buy at the moment........so just have to keep paying the bill.! ours decided yesterday to try and limbo under electric fencing to get to the next field with longer grass in...........trouble was she failed and got stuck on the wire fencing behind the electric fence and had to struggle to free herself. pony fine.......turnout rug ripped all the way down the back!!!!!! now thats going to cost me a new one heaven only knows how much they are at the moment.......yet another unexpected bill i can see my newly done budget waving good by before i have started. (tempoarily threatened PONY with the glue factory but swiftly told off by DD)

HOPE THE EXAM GOES WELL AND YOUR WEEK IMPROVES TOO, decided im going to chill and go with the flow today as getting stressed up is doing me no good at all
    Breath in................and out............put kettle on....................feet up........
