Had enough now!! Phoned every day in the week before christmas asking for an update. Was told that nothing had been done in two weeks on my file. Surprisingly my claims handler was never available, left messages for a call back re an update and all i got was a letter stating 'i am still collating information'. Obviously a fob off as i was told nothing had been done!!
Going to go the FOS now, does anyone know if i need to complete a seperate complaint to them or whether i can do them all as one?Liam :money::beer:0 -

Hi Liam
How frustrating for you!
Myself personally would complete the complaints form on the FOS website, and enclose copies of any reclaiming questionnaires and copies of all correspondence received (even by email) and send on with the complaints form, it will save on time later on, good luck Liam.
Meanwhile I do hope you hear of some good news soon too.;)

Well, someone must have heard my rant yesterday!! Started filling in my FOS forms then got distracted and didnt finish them.
This morning, recieved 2 letters from Lloyds wanting to settle and asking me to to sign an acceptance form (inc 8% interest!)
Dont think that they are worth much as i settled each loan rather than complete the full term.
At last there is some light at the end of the tunnel!!
I take it Lloyds will send a breakdown of payments made and how they are calculating it once i send the letters back??Liam :money::beer:0 -

well done on your success, :j:j:j:j:j
once Lloyds recieve your completed forms they will calculate what they owe you and send you a full breakdown, this can take up to 21 working days, once your receive the breakdown the payment is then made shortly afterwards.I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
Before i send the acceptance forms back, just a quick question!
On the letter it states that the offer is 'ex-gratia' to bring the matter to a speedy conclusion. and that they will ensure i am put in the same position i would have been in had the PPI not been included in the loan.
It also states explains about the method they use to calculate the refund by the monthly payments made and the 8% interest from them.
The thing im not sure of, and i might be being stupid is the last paragraph.
The 8% simple interest amount will be calculated when i recieve your acceptance letter.
This will only be processed at this point to ensure the ammount is accuracte.
The calculated simple interest at 8% will then be refunded into your bank account.
I take it this means along with the monthly PPI payments the interest will be paid in or are they trying to say they are only going to refund the interest???Liam :money::beer:0 -

you will get everything back, but they can't calculate the 8% interest until they have your acceptance form.
you will get back the premiums you have paid, the difference in settlement had the ppi not been there and then the 8% simple on top of these amounts.I'm proud to say that the banks no longer take money from me after becoming debt free0 -
thanks for the advice!! Signed and sent, fingers crossed for a speedy reply!!!Liam :money::beer:0

Seems the Christmas spirit is upon Lloyds. I received a letter this morning dated 31st December. Similar situation to Liam above they are offering an ex gratia payment of return of premium plus 8 per cent interest. They have asked me to complete an acceptance form and they will then calculate the amount due. Just a bit concerned that if I sign the acceptance form they can then still delay repayment and as I have accepted their offer I cant take it any further. I think I will sign and return the form within covering letter saying am going to fos if they don't pay into my account within 2 weeks.
Just as a postscript I suggested my husband rang ltsb today as he also has a claim for misselling outstanding. He was told that his acceptance slip will be sent out today but that the repayment will be paid directly into his loan account and the amount outstanding under the loan will be recalculated deducting the repayment. The loan under which I have received the letter detailed above is also still outstanding but theres no mention of offsetting the repayment against the outstanding loan and they ask for account details to repay the refund.
Quick question can ltsb unilaterally opt to offset the refund against the loan without informing me first? If so it may help if I nominate a non lloyds account to accept the refund.0 -

Good news that, well done!
I don't think they give a choice normally, but maybe someone will rectify on this soon, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
