Nice dinner Jo - shame about the choklit situation. I have several bars of rather tasty stuff we bought in Poland sitting in the larder - two of them are intended for Mum although I seem to have "forgotten" to take them over there the last few times I've been! :o

Am heading for a bath now so might have to take a chunk or two of the stuff with me (not Mums, I'm not that mean!)

Dizzy, so glad you could make it :j that sauce sounds nice. I noticed when I went into Marks a few weeks ago they had an introductory thing on their new chicken sauces, is this one of them? They looked really nice, with some really nice different flavours, it's just the jar looked a little small for me, I'd have to buy at least 2 as there's five of us here. I think they were half price, are they still on offer?

    [/QUOTE]

I don't think the sauces are still on offer and they are wee jars so you'll need more than one for five! Also to add to the expense you are supposed to add double cream (only a few tblespn but as OH was making dinner the whole pot went in! Um so much for the low fat diet we need!).
On my own tonight so baked potato with creamed mushrooms, sweetcorn, onion and chicken - actually very nice and cooked some pasta so the left overs are tomorrows lunch! Feel very pleased with myself!
HB sorry to hear about extra lurgy - have you tried some honey medicine? ( Manuka honey is supposed to be the cure for all evils but at £10 + per jar it would have to bee (bee/ honey - geddit? :D)
OK will buzz off now :o
    Take care

Shoppy, what you expecting in your Mr T delivery today?

Pen, I have a 'mince' cookbook, full of different ideas!

Marru, where you get the steak sarnie from nom nom nom!! Good luck with the application, everything crossed till further notice ;) xx

HB, I had to have mushrooms last night with my dinner after reading about your cheese and mushrooms on toast the other day, it's like that cathedral cheese advert where it's catching :rotfl: hope you are feeling better today hun xxx

Good news on the car 365! And I love spontaneous chuck together dinners!

Puzz, I lurve coq au vin, lurve, lurve, lurve it  I also lurve matchmakers, any variety but particularly the coffee flavour, can you still get them? Get you being all domesticated :D

    EH, Ewan McGregor  :rotfl:

Dizzy, your OH sounds like mine, just chucks the lot in  hope it was nice all the same? How do you make your creamed chicken thing for tonight?

Luckypud, thanks for popping in :) We will probably be going out for carvery for xmas dinner, although I have booked it, I've yet to pay the deposit :o so I might've missed out....I was thinking of popping down there tonight so let's see. If not, we shall all pile round my poor dear ole mummies house, I will bring the bone on rib roast that I'd been cooking since early morning and the roast tatties and she will be cooking the turkey crown, veggies, yorkies etc... We shall prob start with prawn cocktail AND soup and finish with xmas pud and cream AND trifle

    Oh man.....roll on crimbo :xmastree:

I lurve egg nog, last year I had a choklit egg nog, similar to this one, but as I'm newly sober, I won't be partaking in the alcohol bit this year....I'll have to research but I don't know if it will taste the same without alcohol or not?

Anyway, must dash and get ready for work. At least my double audit's over, everybody else can suffer for the next 2 days (I told the site manager to get me in first ;))....though I don't find out how I faired till Wednesday

    Have a wonderful day :D

    xx
