Morning all, totally exhausted due to lack of sleep, in bed at 10pm and still remember laying there after 12am

    *orders 2 double expresso coffees*

Pen, I have never really got the chips and curry sauce thing, never tried it.

Puzz, I had lasagne last night! Was meant to be having pad Thai, rang DD1 and asked her to get the king prawns out of the freezer and everything. Went to Mr T's and bought the kids one of those massive Value lasagnes reduced and then DD1 declared she was going out, so it was now only feeding a 7 and 5 year old. So told OH when he came in that pad thai tomorrow and lasagne tonight.....he wasn't very impressed cos turns out he's going out tonight :rotfl: pad thai all to myself....and gotta have it cos the BIG bag of raw king prawns have defrosted ;)

HB, sorry I couldn't make it for dins, I've been hibernating due to giving up the drink. I'll allow myself out of the house in a week or so :rotfl: xx

DD, nice to see you again  :D

Dizzy, thanks, always wondered what creamed chicken was! My mum used to serve something very similar called 'chicken supreme' with rice in the 80's too!

Maman, sounds like Tuesday is lasagne night!

Right, must dash, not sorted out the kids uniforms yet and I've got to be sat at my desk in 30 minutes

*chucks 2 coffees down in quick sucession*

  • Morning fellow diners :D I have a lovely child free morning today so plenty of time to catch up on posts and have some nice brekkie (actually have already had some marmite on toast but any excuse LOL)

Lasagne sounds yummy, I have one homemade portion stashed in the freezer I might have that for lunch...

Dinner tonight is lamb steaks with new potatoes, baby sweetcorn and carrots will make some salsa verde to go with it (the steaks are on offer at Asda atm - 3 packs of 2 for £10 so am making the most of it!)

I defrosted the freezer in the cellar yesterday and this morning doing the one in the kitchen whilst ds is not her to poke around at it! Found some cornish pasty filling I made a few weeks ago so gonna have to make some pasties later i think.
  • Migraine has completely disappeared :D Just dropped DS off at school and I had to de-ice the car! It is a bit nippy out there.

As its my day off I have plenty of time for brekkie this morning - can't decide what to have yet but I'm sure there is some bacon hiding at the back of the fridge.
This time I haven't smoked since 6th Jan 2014 and still going ok.
    Fingers crossed x

I've never had pad choi jo but I'll be round to eat the king prawns if you need them taking off your hands! Had a lovely starter on Monday (in restaurant) which was nothing more than sauteed whole mushrooms with hot prwans on top. Yummy!

Had kippers for breakfast, also yummy. Planning to make a lamb curry when I leave here. It's for later in the week but so much more tasty when it's marinated a bit.

Did we ever hear the end of that b** joke?
