Just catching up on diaries. Not read all of it yet but just saw your dilemma re the coat. I am not exactly sure about this but somebody once told me that M&S can tell from their computer how much was paid for the coat based on the barchart thing. Could you take a copy of your CC bill (blank out everything else) as proof of purchase and the price just in case? Maybe Souk could answer that as she is in retail.
Looks like (from my very quick scan) you are doing brilliantly on the budget. I should take a leaf out of your book but I am in a rebelling mood this month. Oh and remember Pipkins and Octavia the Ostritch - good impressions of her in my house at the moment too. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Well done on the weight loss and good luck with the coat.I think taking the CC bill is a good idea too.0

re the tvcatchup thing. I just had a look but it said something about live tv stream. As I dont have a tv licence I am not allowed to watch live streaming. Does that site have what it says - catchup. Bit reluctant to register because I think that as soon as I do they will chase me to buy a licence and as I watch hardly anything I dont want to go down that route. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Err don't know is the answer to that haven't actually tried it yet hopefully moo2moo will be able to answer that.
I have every intention of taking the CC bill and the copy emails because where I will be taking it back is a concession not a jacques vert shop but customer service did say I could take it to a concession although they haven't asked if I have a receipt just hope that when I get there they don't start being awkward and also if they insist on exchange will they actually have a coat as I really don't want to be without it for long it is right chilly here

Good luck with the coat, I think you need 'proof of purchase' and this doesn't necessarily mean a receipt, a credit card bill will normally do.
Re: your little girl, I was wondering if she had gone back since last year.
Alder Hey is brilliant, but I'm biased, its where I did my nursing trainingIf you want to meet up when she's up here, let me know.

You are on no idea when it will be hopefully sooner rather than later as her hearing is really suffering

Well done on the weight loss, and managing to keep it off over Christmas.
Hope your DD gets sorted with the operation quickly and everything goes smoothly this time.
Is it worth phoning the concession first to see if they have a coat in the right size in stock, they maybe able to put it on one side for you. If they haven't got one in stock maybe they could get one there in advance ready for you to pick up. Jacques Vert is supposed to be good, so it's surprising it's had this problem so quickly. Hopefully it's just a one off faulty item.0 -
Well I did the bi weekly shop yesterday and we were under budget
but I did spend more than OH did on the last shop mainly because I bought more stuff some that I have frozen because it was cheaper to buy in bulk and some because when I looked in the fridge Thursday night it was like Mother Hubbard's cupboard and I ended up having to resort to fish fingers for tea although I do really like fish fingers
but I think OH took the essential shopping only a little too far the kids were a bit aghast too and were glad to see the fridge restocked when I came back from shopping.
OH had a funeral yesterday too so that was a bit more in the income pot.
So there was some budget left over to put in the catch up fund
So a new budget starts today which is always good.
We had a trip out today so not a NSD but made a change and I have met my first MSEr of 2011 the lovely Pania who was running in a local half marathon endurance event as part of her twelve month twelve challenges actually it was a bit more than a half marathon and very steep she did well. It was very cold and due to a misunderstanding about the time it started (there were 3 different races) we were there quite a while so I had three whingey kids so it was a quick hello and goodbye which was a shame. We also ran into a friend of ours there who was running in the 10K he was frozen and had bought no cash with him so was glad of a cuppa before the start of the race.
As I thought watching the race meant OH went for a run for the first time for ages he has not run much since he broke his hip but used to run a lot and did the London Marathon he really enjoyed it and says he has still got it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So all in all a good couple of days hoping for another low spend week.

Well done on staying in your budget, it must be quite hard with children around, as they tend to be funny about eating different things.
Love fish fingers, but don't get them very often. I always associate them with Heinz spaghetti for some reason.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

glad you had a nice day. Saw Pania's facebook page and noticed that you had been over. Shame that it was so cold today.
Fish fingers, now there is something I havent had in ages. Mind you being vegetarian does that for you. BUT when I was little I used to love fish fingers on bread with tomato ketchup. Gill my sister always had to have a tin of evil spagehetti with hersSome days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar.
