Agree with you on George Clarke DT, he's is very easy on the eye :D

You seem to be doing a great job on the reduced income and I am sure it will all work out for you. Excellent news that OH is on board too as that will make it easier.

Default Dave as my dad calls it (always a topgear to watch!) is on freeview as they do not have sky.

Bet DH had a fab day at Autosport, we were there on Friday to have some business meetings and catch up with old friends.

OH did enjoy Autosport but he said by the afternoon it was very busy he used to go on a Friday as a friend of his used to be able to get tickets but now he has to join the plebs :D said there was a lot of Lotus stuff and as he has an Elise that made him happy also liked the Mclaren stand.

Well today my Quidco money has been paid all £3.61 of it :( still it all helps.

I have also paid my pre Christmas credit card bill  which of course was pre new budget spends and it was not a pretty sight  I have also had to transfer some money to Lanzarote for villa costs including money to set up a new TV system there to once again ditch Sky so although it is money upfront which I could do without paying it will be cheaper in the long run with no monthly fees.

So the bank account is looking distinctly sick I need to start adding money to it so I am about to chase up some money due to try and redress the balance somewhat. I really could do with hearing about this census job so I know one way or the other whether I will have that money to help with the budget. I am planning a NSD today and the general budget for this week is looking good so I should have some more to pay off the deficit at the end of the week :)

    Have a good day folks.

Sigh ... its that daily grind, isn't it.... I've just remembered about my credit card a few minutes ago - hopefully I can pay it in time to avoid the interest charges, but at least its not too big this month.

    Keep going, DT.

yuck to christmas CC bills but at least it's out of the way now....it's such a drudge trying to make things balance especially with an ever decreasing budget but am confident you'll manage it.

Keep up the positivity, although the budgets are presumably *quite* tight, I assume they aren't absolutely dire yet. Did you do any more about the doll's house?

:o still not got decent photos DD always came at night so the pictures are not good and my camera has completely packed up Mom may buy me a camera for my birthday so if she does I will be able to take some more.

Budget seems doable at the moment but of course we are only on week 3 and no disasters as yet disasters are not budgeted for so thats when it gets dire :(

Tell DH that from the number of non-business people there on the Friday if they purchased their tickets in advance online and created some motorsport team name/company they would get in anyway!

I love all Lotus, and have been lucky enough to go out on track as a passenger in an exige at full pelt, when I took my car out on track he was leaving me standing as the exige is so nimble, even though I had a lot more power and much higher top speed - 187 MPH .
  • I have had to email jacques vert today about my lovely new coat as the lining is coming undone  they say take it back to local store to get exchange or refund which I was going to do tomorrow but just heard contact for foster child has been changed so my day is stuffed - the additional problem is I got rid of my receipt because my cc bill arrived and I bought 2 items in the shop so not exactly sure how much the coat cost just have total amount on cc statement it was in sale but now is reduced further so if I have a refund I need the price I paid not the price it is now. Of course the best case scenario would be refund at price paid and then reorder online at lower price but not sure I am going to get away with that ;)

The good news is it is one month since I reached goal weight and today I am exactly at goal I have been within 2lbs under or over which considering Christmas was in there I am happy with. I am going to report here on the situation on the 20th of each month as a substitute for the monthly visit to the clinic which I can no longer afford so you are now my weight consultants:rotfl:

Other than that pretty quiet spends are low this week so will be under budget :)

Kids finally went back to school today although they are still coughing a bit.

Took my little girl to the hospital yesterday for her first appointment after her bad reaction to the anaesthetic in July and they don't want to deal with her and are referring her to Alder Hey which is what I was going to ask them to do so I am relieved about that. They were obviously spooked by what happened as they have introduced new procedures in the ENT department with regard to anaesthetics as a result so at least some good has been achieved. Not looking forward to her op but I need to know whether this was a one off or an ongoing problem.
