Oh DT just catching up. How stressful your weekend sounds. You are such an inspiration though to keep going and not give up. Love your tenacity.
Where did you end up staying in Cardiff? I was supposed to be down there this week, shame we could have met up.
Not sure if this would apply but could your son claim DLA mobility component whilst he is getting over the operation. Dont know if it is suitable for these circumstances but if he is incapacitated and needs help getting around then it may be worth asking the question.

Sending lots of positive vibes for today. Hope that you get the chance to enjoy a bit of time in Cardiff whilst you are waiting to go back to the hospital.

I'd love to see the Torchwood Operations Hub in Cardiff. I know thats horribly shallow, but I just thought I'd associate with Cardiff, and thats what came up. I'll get my coat..... not as posh as DT's, but it'll have to do :) Hope its going okay, DT.

I am staying in the Park Inn North which is handy for the hospital and where my son lives and the room is bright and airy, reasonable price and a great shower :j

I don't think it is shallow at all I am going to go to the Dr. Who exhibition to get a stocking filler for my foster child which is in cardiff bay so I should be pretty close you never know who I will run into :rotfl::rotfl:or what :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I have fnished my paperwork from that list so pleased with that. I am ringing the hospital shortly to see if he has been transferred to a ward and find out when I can go and see him.

Around that I shall fit in some christmas shopping and a visit to the post office and bank.

That will just leave wrapping Christmas presents but I have plenty of time to do that before leaving here on Saturday so all is well on the to do front - breathe

    Ladies,
I work very close to the Dr Who Exhibition (pass it every night and morning when staying over in Cardiff Bay). Hate to do this to you KC but I have often seen things being filmed in the Bay.
Year before last I was sitting outside the cafe at the Millenium Centre and watching a scene being filmed for Dr Who with John Barrowman. It was all very exciting (once somebody explained who he was and what they were doing :) ) Also the square there is often invaded by daleks!
You should try to go KC. You could get a cheap ticket on trainline and one of the travelodge sales and you would be laughing. I love Cardiff and you would to. The people remind me very much of scousers so I always feel at home there.

  • I love Cardiff too and so does OS although he only put it on his UCAS form to fill the last place but once he visited for his interview we both loved it

Rang at 12.15 and he has not had his op and he was 2nd on the list and has been there since 7.30 I would imagine he is a bit fed up as he was not allowed to take his phone or laptop in only magazines this is someone who is permanently attached to his gadgets

They will ring me when he goes to the ward.

I have been trying to order stuff online but paypal seems to be playing up I presume they are still being hacked so I have given up for a bit:( did get 2 payments through.

Think I will have to go out and do real shopping :)

Family Christmas viewing is going to be lots of the 'original' Dr Who DVD's (they were at nice prices on Amazon earlier in the year), mainly Jon Pertwee, but a few other older Dr's too. I missed Torchwood as I was out of the country for most of it, is it good? Or is that a silly question!!

Just saw your last post DT, hope he doesn't have a much longer wait. Well the waiting can't be nice for you either.
