KC & Pippajo - you don't see many well endowed models!!!!!!!!!!!!! So most styles you see on the catwalk & in mags etc aren't designed to look right except on people with shapes more like yours, then the same trends/styles get converted to the high street. So actually you have a lot more to chose from. It is getting a bit better now, but still not brilliant.

DT - how bad is the weather, it is keeping people indoors unless they have to go out. It's supposedly going to make it very good for internet sales etc., how is that side going? Hope your son is coping OK with his friends until he gets the op.
  • Have to laugh at you KC and pippajo I agree with se999 you have lots of choices of clothes. I have to make my figure an asset not a problem which I could and have in the past regarded it as and you need to do the same :)

Pamper evening - someone said it was Corrie's big night I wouldn't know;)
I don't know the area very well so don't know if the venue was OK it was a decent enough place I chose it because it was the nearest one I could find - three stalls didn't even bother turning up
I suspect they didn't advertise enough
The weather was fine so no problems there
It was just a toe dipping exercise I wasn't upset I think OH was more upset for me he expected me to come home and say I had found my new career :D and thought I was joking initially nice that he has such confidence in me :)
We did learn a few things for future events and had a good discussion with DD about things we want to try and she is fully onboard and so much more focussed this week so I think she has reached a turning point :j

I have had a lie in reading which is not good considering the length of my list but was lovely :o

Right quick scoot round the threads and then head down

Oh my goodness DT, you are a whirlwind. Fancy coming over my way and doing some of my lists?

Sorry it didn't workout too well.It was probably because it was soap night and a lot of works parties were on
  • Wow, you've done really well on that list, as far as I can see there's only 2 or 3 things left, and hopefully after church today you'll have sorted the powerpoint volunteer out. Is OH such a technophobe, or is he just so used to you doing it?

Glad DD is more focussed, it must take a load off your mind.

    .

OH is a complete technophobe but he wouldn't be able to do it any way because he is the front man for the service

    Well I didn't do it KC :(

Sunday was a nightmare took presentation into church to put on church laptop and only one channel of sound was working and the video hung after 20 secs. Mom had a bad turn so I had to rush home with her. She recovered thankfully so I went back to church on my own and sorted sound problem out which took two hours. Then the programme decided to play up (it is a programme just used by chuches and can be quite unstable:mad:) and it deleted the whole of the service and I had no back up. This included the words for 4 welsh carols which were not in the welsh hymn book in church so OH had to go to the Cathedral and borrow a hymn book. I then had to retype the whole of the service but made the mistake of doing it on my laptop and when I tried to play it on the church laptop the databases wouldn't merge and it wouldn't recognise it as the songs had been deleted from the church database so I had to copy the songs into word transfer as a word document and then recopy them into the projection programme. By this time I was in tears. I still had the video problem it would run in windows media but hung in the projection programme if I had been doing the service I could have managed to run it separately in windows media but it was a bit much to expect the man to do this as he is only learning. So I rejoined the projection programme users group and searched the archives for similar problems and found two suggested solutions and the second one worked :) by this time it was 11pm and the whole process had taken 10 hours
So nothing else was done on the list.
Monday morning I did buy the PJs and read the fostering paperwork.
Thankfully Monday morning was lovely we had a local special school come to church for the first time 80 children 40 staff and the parents and they did a wonderful service which lifted my spirits dramatically.:A

I then dashed home cleared OS' room of all detritus gathered up all the paperwork I still needed to do and put it in my laptop bag. Went to panel popped home to collect luggage and presents that still needed wrapping and put them in car. Got to Cardiff at 8pm picked OS up and went out for a meal.

    Collapsed in bed.

Today I took OS to hospital for 8.30 he had various tests done was examined by the surgeon and is to have his first op tomorrow has to be in for 7.30am. They will have to do a large incision because they need to trace the nerve up and down the leg to check for damage at the moment they don't think it is severed but if it is they will have to transfer him to Swansea for a repair . Tomorrow they will repair the ligaments on the outside of the knee and then in a month or so he will have an op to repair the ones on the inside. They said it will be 6 months before his knee is better and because he also has a dropped foot he won't be able to drive until then - he is not a happy bunny - he thinks it happened because of some TV show - tall rodeo ?????????????????. The surgeon said he was extremely unlucky to suffer this injury due to an unusual combination of circumstances in the fall:(

Taken him home this afternoon for a nap as he didn't sleep well so I am going to finish that dreaded list and then we will go out for a meal together later.

Hotel is lovely nice bright clean airy room with all the facilities I need.

Sorry for the long post I am going to have a quick mooch to see what I have missed and then work!

    DTxx

PS I am wearing my jeans for the first time today:T
