Thanks cathh70, that's useful. So it looks as though they might have now put the two separate interest payments into one for those of us on the (EDIT: 1 year) extended bonus offer. Anyone else?0

Here's a good one. I've had 2 lots of interest as usual, but the one that's tagged as bonus interest is smaller than the fixed interest i.e. they've got them the wrong way round!Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you’ll get rid of him every weekend.0

I had a look earlier and my account has always shown interest and bonus but for November it has been added together.
My account was extended for 12 months.0 -
I have the same! 2 separate payments like usual, but the bonus is the smaller amount when it should be the larger! Very strange!0

My extension is for 3 months and I still have my interest in 2 payments. Anyone else the same? Seems like a lot of the 12 month extensionees are all having it in just 1?0

This is exactly the same as me. 2 separate interest payments showing for end of November but with the amounts the wrong way round. That said the larger figure is slightly more than double the smaller figure which doesn't make sense if they have just been transposed. Would expect the larger figure to be 1.85 times the smaller figure.
Note the smaller figure appears to be correct. The larger figure is incorrect by my calculations. If the larger figure were 1.85 times the smaller figure it would be correct. So it appears that they have overpaid interest. They have paid over 3% pa.
I've got the 3 month extension.I came, I saw, I melted0 -
Speaking as someone who is becoming increasingly wise to their c***ups, I'd be asking why they have amalgamated the interest. Must surely make it more difficult to work out if you're getting the right amount?
That's probably why they have added them together, but guess what I didn't notice that they put the two amounts the wrong way round .. last month !!
Anyone else noticed this for their 31st October interest ?
Added up they are the correct amount ... (I think)0 -
I have had an esaver account since it was first available and find it very useful in conjunction with my NW current account, I have quite a large sum in the esaver but my bonus was only extended till Feb 14th.
I presume that they don't want my cash for some reason as others seem to have been given a one year extension but not me!
Can anyone advise the best way to contact Natwest to ask about this account? Phone or write etc, as from comments here it seems difficult to make the right contact!0 -
I have the same issue with my NatWest e-saver account interest showing as only one figure on my statement, as at the 30th November:
30 Nov 2011 INT 30NOV NET *****
Whereas before it was always in this format:
31 Oct 2011 INT 31OCT NET ******
31 Oct 2011 INT BONUS *****
I've done a quick calculation and it does appear to be the case that the November interest rate amount in my account is a combined interest rate (including the bonus rate).
However, I'm going to be calling the bank today to try to get confirmation.
I received the extended offer of the bonus rate for another 12 months (in my case from the 14th October). The rates for interest paid in October also appear to be the wrong way around. There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...0 -
