Yes Alan, we are already aware that you have been offered 3.12% while others haven't. There's no need to brag on this thread now as well! Of course we would all rather have the rate you have been given, but unfortunately for the rest of us there is nothing we can do. 'Missed out' wouldn't be the term I would use. We weren't ever given the opportunity.0

My account is also extended for a year and in October the bonus is also half the net rate. For November I have received the interest but no sign of the bonus.
Anyone know where I can ring to query this?0 -
Further to my post 714.
I did visit my branch today.
Guess what - they asked why I had come to a branch ref a closed internet esaver account and that they could not deal with it !!
Showed them the letter that came with the closing balance telling me in black and white that I must go to a branch if I have a problem with the closing balance. (Telephoning would be no good as my security detail no longer exist !!)
Finally the branch agreed to take the problem onboard. Watch this space.
Has anyone else out there had this account closure problem ?0 -
UPDATE
Seems the the goalposts have moved again. Natwest now claims they have no way of tracing savers who held, but have now closed, this account. What they are effectively saying is: if savers don't identify and contact NW about the missing closing bonus interest, they are unlikely ever to receive it.0 -

Me too, but don't bother phoning. They know NOTHING. Firstly I was told that I would receive the bonus at the end of Dec "because there is a gap". I pointed out that the letter said that the bonus would continue with no gap. Then they changed their story to "the bonus interest and normal interest have now been amalgamated." I cannot prove or disprove this as my account balance has really fluctuated wildly over the last couple of months due to various circumstances. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can someone with a relatively stable account balance tell us whether their interest for Nov was paid as one amount or two, and whether if as one amount Natwest has now really amalgamated the two interests into oneand has paid at 2.85% or whatever? Thanks0 -
My bonus was extended to February. I received two interest payments for November that 'feel' correct.0

My bonus was extended for a year from mid Oct and the Nov interest has no sign of itBeing brave is going after your dreams head on0

ScarletBea - is it poss to work out whether your Nov interest (1 payment) is at 1% or at 2.85? ie have they forgotten your bonus or has the bonus been amalgamated?0

Mine does look as though it is the two together - last month £1.06/£0.52, this month £1.73._____________________________________________Mortgage 1 £80k paid off july 2014Mortgage 2 £213k paid off May 20210
