Parking especially at Shopping centres on Sundays !! I will often walk so i can park for free and I get some exercise. Lady products too - always buy the cheap value ones !!
House moving costs/mortgages - ie solicitors, surveys, estate agents, mortgage fees - all these things costs. You are forced to pay out hundreds for not much in return. Current one - is the cost to extend lease on my flat - £000's for a longer lease !!
Anything where i know I could get it cheaper but am forced to spend more ie at airport or on holiday ie £2.50 for bottle of water !!We got married 17th April 2010 !! A wonderful day with my wonderful husband !! :T0 -
Lady products
school trips (no fun when u have 4)
big pet hate internet delivery charges ..often, i find the delivery charges are higher than the actual purchase i make!0 -
Booking fees on tickets etc - why cant they just show the actual cost of the tkt? Also the astronomic postage they charge when you know a first class stamp costs 41p. They still charge a fee even if you are able to go to the box office in person and collect:mad:
Places that charge nearly £3 for a coffee $tar&ucks etc
Sandwiches, drinks - any lunch items, usually carp and way overpriced
Paying full price for anything
Vets charges for routine treatments, ie boosters flea treatments
My vet is a partner in BestPet Pharmacy, an online vet supplies company, where flea treatments are cheaper than when you buy them in the practice. I asked him if he could give me a prescription to buy my routine stuff online and he said yes, but he would charge me £7.50 per item for writing the prescription!!!!!! For his own company!!! It seems vets have a licence to print mioney!
Ooh I've enjoyed my rant:rotfl:
you will always be rich enough to be generous.0 -
Talking of vets. I remember my son had some exotic pets, but there seemed to be a restrictive trade practice at work a bit like the relationship between a solicitor and a barrister or something to do with poaching each other's customers.
Son goes to local vet and says I need to be referred to this vet as she is an expert in herpetology, so local vet, who knew a lot less about the pet in question than my son, gets to charge him for the compulsory reference.0 -
Delivery charges get my goat. I ordered some flowers for my mum's birthday, and they had the nerve to charge £4.95 delivery for a 500 yard walk to deliver the flowers :mad:Set your goals high, and don't stop till you get there.

Council tax - what a rip off - I live in the country - the only service really is the bin collection
I'm really sorry, but unless you live in a particularly unusual area, this is simply untrue.
CT funds police, fire and rescue service, refuse collection, provision of services such as local swimming pools, community/village halls, social services and care for the elderly, libraries, roads, public loos, and maintenance of cemeteries and war memorials.
You can't really mean that you use none of these services bar the refuse collection?! You 'use' the police and fire and rescue, just by living in an area - they have to be funded to cover the eventuality that you might need to call them out.
If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving isn't for you0 -
renewing my driving licence costs £20, then had to have the pics and postage, and then have to do it all again in 10 years time, total waste of money.0

Me too with renewing the photocard licence as I have just had to do mine, seems like a licence for them to print money - scandalous!
Paying 1.70 to park at an out of town sports centreStarting with a clean slate.
August grocery challenge - £2500 -
Paying to park at work's car park, and it is deducted at source :-(Jue

I've still got a green one in a little plastic fold over wallet;)
Once upon a time there was a "free" campaign to replace them, so I got as far as going to the local post office:
"Nah mate, we've run out of forms".
