And a good afternoon all bump from me.

    You're right Handy, it's very cold.. :(:(

Erme, that chip butty looks sooooo good

    It's called a butty for a reason....it makes your butt big ;)

I'm hoping there may be some way of doing the modules over a longer time-scale given I was off sick... but need the uni to tell me what the options are.

The course won't make any difference to my current pay (I work for the NHS; it's never going to ;)) but it would probably help me out in the years to come, where, inevitably the way the NHS works is going to have to change.

Even if I quit the second job, it's still be a huge ask to complete postgrad level work in the time-scale.

The professor who co-ordinates the course is lovely though (even though he must be sick of me falling to pieces at the eleventh hour ;)), so he will be straight with me and I'll have a better idea of what I need to do.

Mmmm! Just what I needed Erme! Chip butty. Mmmmm! Fudge dognut! Mmmm.

The 11th is a Friday, isn't it? That should be ok. I've accrued time so I can take the afternoon off (or the day, if I've enough hours :D) and come and meet you. :D Repeat after me: "I must not buy too many books, I must not buy too many books, I must not buy too many books..."

I'll put my thinking cap on and find a nice cheap place to eat near the train station (will you be heading home on the 11th? You can PM me. :))

Handy, looking forward to seeing Flash :D

Nope the bus station - as in Buchanan st would be better I think? I've yet to book the ticket but I think I leave from Buchanan st..... it's 50p on my bus pass return from the middle of nowhere...:T

If not I don't know..I'm (please don't attack pc screen nicca) know Edinburgh better cos J was there for years before she got a life sentence and now she has 2 sprogs (both under the age of 2!!!) to boot...

I think I'm staying in the Euro hostel and like have friends round about woodlands drive? or road or something (where the wee wee free kirk is) so might pop in there....so like byers road/uni area would be good - not least if you can get some student discount...

I'll pm you my phone no's and email to save us hijacking the thread..:T

and yes I have another virus :eel

and re my wifi getting hacked...typed in 'free wifi' to the HTC android sites and came up with a load of programs (like aircrack and penetrate) for hacking thomson routers which is what plusnet supplied me with? Go figure...THE HACKING OF MY WIFI WAS NOT my fault!!! tnp.gif

Anyhow with regards the HTC wildfire - tis a lovely phone but boy does eat battery - you need to charge it every night :( so have some sort of task killer and also the AFN thingy to make sure I'm not online with it when I don't want to be connie_1.gif which is dead neat...the radio works with cheapest headphones known to woman and is easy to use etc etc....

I even got a free photoshop program for it last night...

Pics of veg garden from yesterday to follow but nae pics of me cos I was the only one taking pics - however they're on facebook (cos can't find a widget for imageshack - does anyone know of one?) so if you want a sneak preview pm me...

Never thought about that before, Erme, so true though:D

  • As promised a picture of Flash, big black lab. He's Sapper's Son. (My Chocolate Lab)

He came to stay before Christmas but has to go home next week. He will be missed as he is just a big furry softy. He loves the fireside.:A

    Flash3upload.jpg

My little Borders will miss him. Both terriers are poorly at the moment, one with an infection (ladies problems) and Bonnie the older one has just torn a ligament in her back leg. Looks like I'm paying for our Vets summer holiday this year.

    Cheers all, Handy.:D
