Thanks for your prayers Erme - and it must be so hard for you too Ames, your mother is much younger isn't she? How is she doing now and when is her next chemo session petal?

Mam was awake this afternoon, but coughing quite a bit - she talked a bit and had a laugh with us, ate some ice cream and drank some of her thickened juice. We left at 2.50 so she could have a little sleep before my sister and brother get there shortly before 4 pm

3Dogs, my mum's 51. Her next chemo session is next Tuesday. I haven't spoken to her today, hopefully she managed to sleep last night instead of just worrying.

It's good that your mum was talking and laughing and eating.

:jEvening folks, I hope this finds you all well. For no apparent reason (other than there is no rain left:eek:!!) it has decided to stop raining in NI (for the time being anyway:eek:!) and it ended up as quite a sunny day really:)!

Hi 3Dogs, more to the point, how are you? Often people say I know what your going through. I have read your posts and it only seems like yesterday we were going through exactly the same thing with MIL.

I hope the care home is a good one If the care and standard is only 90% of where MIL ended up it will make all the difference to you all.

If you are happy and comfortable with the way your Mum is looked after, you will feel a lot more at ease. If you have any problems with them let us know and I will set Mrs (Matron) Handy loose on them :eek::eek:

Not Kidding, she was an old fashioned Nursing Sister and can put fear into most care workers.:D

Our thoughts are with you, if there is anything we can do to help? even from this distance please ask. If we possibly can we will.

    Warmest regards, Handy.:D

PS. I got so wet today I think I have rising Damp.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
