Evening!
Erme, if you go away don't forget about cashback, Hostelworld and Hostelbookers are both on Quidco and it's a pretty decent rate.
I've had a really interesting day, team building stuff for the charity I'm on the board of trustees of. Not only did I get to know everyone (I'm new), I learnt a lot about myself. In particular it made me feel better about how I've dealt with mum being ill, that it's not that I'm an uncaring cow, it's just that I'm an 'organiser' rather than 'emotional' person.
So, now I'm in the right frame of mind I'm going to spend the evening doing housework and stuff, after catching up on the boards.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Hi Everyone,
Hope you have all had a good day. Thanks for all you good wishes and suggestions for Christmas, trouble is I just don't seem to have the time to do any home-made stuff at the moment although it's worth looking into.
GD stayed here last night and was to go to a birthday party today and then on to see the fireworks for the Lord Mayors Show but she was a bit poorly during the night and threw up all over the bed, I told my DD that she shouldn't go out but she wanted to go so we got in the car and she promptly threw up twice in the car. I bought her back home and she has been sleeping most of the time although we did see the fireworks, as I live on the 8th floor so we get a very good view from here. Bless her she hasn't eaten all day and as she has been sleeping so much she will probably be up all night, so no sleep for me again:(.
Hope you all have a good evening.I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Very slow on here tonight, I guess all the Trolls and Spammers must be watching the X Factor as well!
I am waiting for the Remembrance Service from the Albert Hall to start.
Handy comes from a long line of congenital cowards, Granddad Handy was in the trenches when the first shot of WW1 was fired, he was hiding under a bed in Hull when the second one went off.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Dad was only able to join the Home Guard on the last day of WW2. He was a Bevin Boy and was forced to work in the mines as a protected occupation.
He Joined at 9.00am and by 12.00pm he was discharged. He was allowed to keep all his kit. As kids me and sis used to use his greatcoat as a quilt.
I remember when visitors came to visit, I shouted downstairs that sis had pulled the coat off me, Mum shouted up you mean the quilt. I shouted back that she had ripped the sleeve off.:eek::eek:
In all Honesty, Lest we forget. My Father in Law was killed in 1943 aged 29 never seeing his 3 month old baby daughter. I lost mates in the forces, I was only ever a part timer. I never saw a shot fired in anger, unless you count the time that the RSM (Regimental Sargent Major) fell asleep in the bar, and we used Veet on one half of his handlebar moustache.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: When he washed his face next morning if he could have got a gun:eek:
Wear your poppy with pride, the concert is on now and Handy is going to get all emotional.
Regards to all, Handy.Mother Nature Don't Draw Straight lines, We are Broken Moulds in Life's Grand Design, We look a Mess but we're doing fine,
