Hello all, hope you are all well....had to do breakfast club this morning till 9, then go back to the school dor DD's class assembly, then back at 11:45 for work.
I haven't done much inbetween, but have stripped and washed DD's bedding, cooked some lunch and scoffed it!!!
Feeling like I'm coming down with a cold or something. Luckily I don't have to pick up DD till 4:15, so going to see what I can get done before that....xx0 -
I am going to try and knock a couple of things off my list in a sec.
Can anyone give any ideas on instant relief for chilblains? My feet got soaked and cold while doing that walk the other day, my feet were a bit itchy last night but they were agony when I was in bed, kept waking me up. I've done all I'm doing today. And - ahem - I won't be doing any flying next week.
Mr LW's got next week off (got some leave to use up) so we're going to try and tackle things like the garden, that I can't do on my own (remember the last time I tried to mow the lawn? I got majorly told off by some of you lovely souls) - at least, weather permitting we will. Also, we're hoping to have a few days out.
So although we're not "going away" as such, we're treating it as Holiday. Therefore S&S-ing only, and I'll be back to flying on Monday 11th October.
I may well not even get to see Fred, as Mr LW will want to get on, not wait for me to faff around on the 'puter, so may I wish Msgnomey best of luck for 8th, and everyone else a good week. Just in case I don't get on here.;)
Today's progress:
Friday ~ Childrens/Spare room or substitute for a neglected room
Level One
Declutter floor Done
Strip bedding.. washed and replaced! N/A – it's a store room not a bedroom
Level Two
Vacuum floor Done by Mr LW
Sort a box of toys or junk Boxes are all tidy; I even revamped the jam stock list!
Rehome/bin 5 items N/A all done already.
Level three
Dust, deweb and wipe away sticky grots Done
Straighten the shelves.. replace all the stuff thtat shouldn't be there All straight and tidy
Tidy the clothes cupboards All tidy
Extras- HH-garden tidying! It's raining! HHWii instead. We're hoping to get on top of the garden next week, during Mr LW's week off (weather permitting).;)
- 15 minutes filing All up to date:p
- Wipe doors and paintwork Done
- Wash windows Insides ALL done recently, and are fine; planning to do all outsides next week, during Mr LW's week off (weather permitting).;)
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
seafarer - it is a lovely thought and you now know you can use Next in the future for flowers and can drop hints to everybody how lovely they were.
Spent the afternoon on the great fence hunt (online and by phone) Soappie it is like you with bedding I know what I want and will not compromise! The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Well done
Thanks Craftyscholar. I needed that pat on the back. :ACraftyscholar wrote: »MIL seems to be having a problem realising it's your home now - any chance she could be persuaded to co-operate in the interests of her grand-children?
Unfortunately not. She's lovely really, but these types of "control" issues are quite common with her. I did try to enlist her help, offered wine and a sorting session, that type of thing, but she's just not up for getting involved. That's really why I decided to take the bull by the horns and get on with it myself. I try to tread carefully, because with DH working for her, and our living upstairs from the shop, it really doesn't pay to get cross or have a fall out about these things. It just creates a bad atmosphere for us all to live/work in. I'm sure she'll get over being huffy shortly, and by that time the things will be safely away at her (very overstuffed) house, and we'll have a bit of space!Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
Textiles, languages, travel and a lovely home are not stupid things to want. You have immediate family's support.Appreciate what I've achieved so far. Other people's opinion of me is none of my business.0 -

sockdrawer well done with the spare room - it may not look like much but if you keep trying to do a bit most days you will soon get itsorted - you want to get things changed before DD comes home again and creates more chaos!!!! Just be firm with MiL - you need the space.
LameWolf hope I havent missed you - have a lovely week with DH - its nice to catch up with things before the winter - hope you get decent weather for your outings too xx
I had a busy morning - but lovely - my friend A came for coffee with her 4 month puppy - she is a bundle of fluff and so boisterous and loving - it would be lovely to have a dog but just not possible. Then the DH came to do my dressing - still not quite there but very close.
then it was lunchtime and I had just sat down after lunch when the DN came back - to give me my flu jab!!!
since then I have caught up on here - had a couple of phone calls and thats about it.
toots xxPeace will be mine
could do better - must try harder
Live each day as if its your last
