I've just had the 'Parking Enforcement Notice' as well - Dropping off outside of a designated parking area. Thanks to the advice here, now ignored.

To the posters who suggest contacting Luton Airport I have to say that my departure from the airport left a really unpleasant taste in my mouth - What a bunch of money grabbing so and so's the management there are!

    1. I've read they charge £2 (non-refundable) for the use of a trolley - Didn't notice this myself
    2. Option to pay (£3?) to bypass the security queue
    3. £1 for four plastic bags if you need to bag up toiletries in hand baggage!

An entirely accurate summary I would never travel from this airport by choice.

Yep Luton Airport are a disgrace, pure and simple.
  • Hi I'm a London cabbie & I've had a ticket for dropping off on the roundabout by the traffic light, the passenger who had paid me up front just opened the door & got out, nothing I could do or say could stop him.I wrote to Apcoa & told them what happened ( this was early August ) & they have just replied & said they would not uphold my appeal, what do I do now ?
    Many thanks in anticipation. Tom

That's because there was no 'appeal' as this isn't a real parking ticket.

Read the sticky threads, check out the top one 'PPC letters, what to expect' and just sit back and file each one. Nothing will happen.

Do you own your own car? If not then warn the registered keeper that there will be some scamograms (print them out from the top thread and just play snap with them).

It's a scam, as I expect you have learned if you have read the forum:

HTH, there will be no comeback, no CCJ, no Court, no-one will come knocking as it's a fake debt. It's a mail scam just like phishing emails.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I got a "Notice of Intended Litigation" today, it'll be interesting to see what happens next. Not much is my guess

I have two today ..why the morons can't put them in one envelope is anyone's guess but this line caught my attention :
"Take note ; the costs associated with issuing a claim in the County Court is as follows :-"
"The costs .......is" ????!!!! Surely "the costs....are".

Apparently a rudimentary grasp of English grammar is no longer a requirement for the legal profession !

How on earth do they expect anyone to take them seriously ???
  • Got my "Notice Of Intended Litigation" this morning as well - They must save up a batch before posting them.
  • I have been getting these letters from Graham White Solicitors since September regarding the parking fine at Luton airport. They have called me a number of times since. Every time when I asked them what it is regarding to they would not say but trying to make me to confirm address first which I refused.
Today I got another letter which says : Final warning.
In the letter they are asking me to either send payment or confirm who was driving the car. I think that is the major problem they have here to prove who was the driver. And they have no chance to prove that so I do not think they have any case although they are threatening with legal action. I think they are just stupid and waste their time and paper.
Anybody else who got this final warning letter?

You maybe will get another final warning letter, then a final final warning letter, then maybe a final final final warning letter, then they will probably go away. They send out hundreds of final warning letters. They never go any further.

Yes got my two final warning letters today for two alleged incidents in the summer , I shall be filing them with the two final warnings I got in Feb 2011 for alleged incidents in Oct 2010.

Needless to say nothing followed the Feb 2011 letters.
