How would O2 police the selling of phones? Employ someone to watch Ebay all day????
I think it's very much one of those "we'll put a dodgy condition in to scare people".......What should I put in here that won't upset people.........0 -
Two reasonsTedrick wrote:his would still be valid on prepay, how can the networks guarantee that your ex wife hasn't hired a private detective to follow your every move and monitor your calls???
This is illegal and they (the wife; the detective; the network) could probably be prosecuted under Data Protection measures for attempting it.
There are privacy settings, and unless you've altered them, the default is that info on your location is only available to O2, and optionally services that you have subscribed to yourself, like ones that could direct you to the nearest fuel forecourt or cashpoint machine.0 -
Don't you have the right to cancel a contract if they change the T&C's?Treat others as you would like to be treated :A0

Dead serious...
Not specifically for handsets, but for people taking advantage of O2 related things, e.g. a thread on here a few days back where a guy was selling PUK codes (that are freely available at no charge on o2.com)CPW Retail

By simply serching the data (imei & either phone or sim number) they get every time anyone makes a call - say you buy phone p1 with sim s1 then sell the phone to a person who uses it with sim s2 - o2 would only have to compare phone/sim combinations between sales documents/call records.Pieman1972 wrote:How would O2 police the selling of phones? They probably wouldn't do anything, but what could they do?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -
Can someone with a good law knowledge on these terms to let us know whether we can cancel our contract following these changes. It would be most appreciated.0

O2 probably had lawyers frame the new terms.ArsenalFC wrote:Can someone with a good law knowledge on these terms to let us know whether we can cancel our contract following these changes. It would be most appreciated.
Why do people go on about cancelling contracts without identifying whether they are at any disadvantage?0
