Well the new photos have now been uploaded on the website...
Please let me know what you think.
Personally, I think these new photos are 100 times better than the last ones.

I think that they are a vast improvement.
Your house looks lovely. I think the big problem for most now is the current economy, the banks lending less and, to be blunt, the fact that house prices will fall across the UK in the coming year which will bring down the price of all houses, even those which are reasonably priced. This is not financial nor legal nor property advice. Consult a paid professional if in doubt.0 -
Thanks, and I agree with you, the current economy / market is definetely not helping the situation.
The amount of "For Sale" signs I see up in our area at the minute is absolutely phenominal (if that's how you spell it!!!)I think that they are a vast improvement.

Best of luck to you.
I guess that's two in our street we are in competition with now then! hahaFinding this thread very interesting.....
....I live at number 44 - not the other one for sale I hasten to add, am opposite there.
Am looking to sell up as well as I'm moving to the Netherlands !
Have just started chucking all my accumulated rubbish out to try and get the place in a decent state.0 -
Hi,
I'm a total newbie on these forums but thought I share some of my FTB mentality.
As a FTB (trendy yes please), we are spoilt for choices (if you manage to get an AIP).
So I actually filter out the cheaper properties thinking they are not 'quality'.
Which is totally false and shallow, but given the amount of property for sale these days and lack of time to compare empirically... Or is it laziness on my behalf?
So find a magic number that the kind of people who normally buy your kind of property would have in their mind. And put your number just below it.0 -
Best of luck to you.

Best of luck to you too, hopefully we can both get sorted
No coming over in the middle of the night and chucking my sign away though (not that I think a sign is much use for me considering there's no road in front of the flat !)

.
Could it be simple stupidity?
You could be ignoring people who are desperate to sell or are being forced to sell because they bank is about to repossess or they are being forced into an IVA... or they have been repossessed already.
You could be missing loads of actually better properties because of your attitude.
You need to wise up and lose the 'price tag' snobbery mentality. No, hang on, stay the way you are - it is your money to burn.
Go and have a read of the housepricecrash forum - they will put some sense into your 'trendy' head.
Here endeth the lesson.
Yippee - house prices are crashing. This is not financial nor legal nor property advice. Consult a paid professional if in doubt.0 -
Don't worry that's not my style, but I can't speak on behalf of the missus, god knows what she is capable of (don't tell her I said that though!!!) hahaBest of luck to you too, hopefully we can both get sorted

You are right...
Thanks for the forum advice.0 -
i have to say, one of the nicest presented places I have seen for a long time. Lovely natural light. Although the decor isnt my taste etc, i could see someone struggling to buy being bowled over by the lack f immediate works that need doing.
I am afraid househunting online is rather like dating. Unless something grabs you or if anything puts you off, its onto the next.
Manybe a new shot of the front to hide the block of flats to the right?0 -

As a potential FTB, you've hit the nail on the head! Living in an area where I've always been priced out of the market I am now seeing 1 or 2 properties coming onto the market which suit my requirements and are within my price range.... however I haven't been to view them because:
- EA's are now wanting AIP before taking you seriously as a FTB.
- I haven't got an AIP, - at the moment I am holding off getting an AIP until more properties come into my price range, not worth getting it for just 1 or 2 which seem to sell within a 'reasonable' time period, and AIP lasts for about 3months, and I don;t want the repeated searches on my credit file if I don;t find the property I want in that time period.0
